Tarot- Numbers 0-10

When considering reading Tarot cards we have to consider the numbers placed on them. These numbers are just as much a symbol as the pictures or paintings. The numbers give clues to the amount of negative or positive effect the card has on our question or situation.

Tarot- Yes/No

When referring to YES & NO answers, the numbers are the key. As opposed to cards which do not have numbers, it is an indication to rephrase the question to be more clear, or simply remove the non numbered cards from the deck when using this method. As usual, use your intuition. YES answers you will refer to all cards with even numbers on them, such as 2, 4,6 etc. Regardless of the picture on the card your answer remains as it is. For NO answers you will refer to all cards with an odd number on them such as 1, 3, 5 etc. Such cards are the Devil, 15, and Death, 13, all odd, and all negative results.

Tarot- Knaves/Pages

Pages are servants of the Knights, Queens, and Kings. Pages represent the lowest level of their suit. In some Tarot cultures they are referred to as Knaves. Knave can be translated as vagrant, homeless, or poor man. Page gives them a more noble address and link to the royals. They are generally the peasant's representative of the Kingdom. They would hold the same status as a councilman just in a smaller group of people. The common person, or you and me. They usually represent your everyday working class man/woman, or younger persons such as teenagers.

Tarot- Knights

Knights are the third highest on the physical plain in the chain of command. Knights are the authority over the lower class of citizens. They have more direct contact to the masses. They can represent people, and situations that are surrounding you at the time of the reading. They can represent aspects of ourselves, that may be protective, noble, oppressive, dutiful, and law enforcing. A Knight is responsible for order among the peasants of the Kingdom. They fight like the military, for our wellbeing. They symbolize putting forth effort, and receiving worldly or mundane assistance.

Tarot- Queens

Queens are the second highest on the physical plain in the chain of command. Queens are a second ear to the King to consider things he may be missing. They can represent people, and situations that are surrounding you at the time of the reading. They can represent aspects of ourselves, that may be nurturing, lighthearted, feminine, considerate, and emotionally moved. A Queen is responsible for everyone down to the peasants of her Kingdom.

Tarot- Kings

Kings are the highest on the physical plain in the chain of command. Kings have the final say in every suite just like a judge in court. They can represent people, and situations that are surrounding you at the time of the reading. They can represent aspects of ourselves, that may be authoritative, honorable, masculine, responsible, and strategic. A king is responsible for everyone down to the peasants of his Kingdom.

Tarot- Aces

When considering reading Tarot cards we have to consider the Aces. Like in Playing Cards, Aces represent 1, or the first card in the suite. Aces have a different power and responsibility to the suite. The Ace would be assumed to be the lowest, yet it is the highest. Aces in the Tarot are illustrated as a hand reaching out holding the symbol of the suite. This hand is the Universe, Deities, or Ancestors. It points to the highest power, or highest order. They represent altogether as some sort of divine intervention to the situation. Aces are the gateway between the spirit world and the physical one.

Tarot- Chain of Command

When considering reading Tarot cards we have to consider the level of importance. Like in a kingdom, there is a chain of command. The King, Queen, Knight, Knave/Page, and Peasant. This rule applies when using playing cards as well, since Tarot began as playing cards. The level of authority which the Card represents is just as important as the numbers placed on them. Consider the suite as well. The chain of command denotes to how much influence one card has over another. For example, a King will have more influence than the appearance of a Page in a reading.

Tarot- Minor Arcana

The Minor Arcana are the 56 day-to-day small pieces to a bigger picture. These are the situations we will face on our way through life. They stay in each chapter, such as life events, failures, and achievements. Their symbols are key to the direction and our decisions; the cause and effects can be felt on this mundane, or earthy level. This will be considered the story within the chapters. These 56 intricate details are the manifestation of how the lesson will be learned

Tarot- Major Arcana

The Major Arcana is named because these 22 cards do not fall under any category of the 4 suites that follow in the rest of the deck. It begins with the Fool, and his journey throughout life, Death, Judgement and end at the World. The World symbolizes the sum of all lessons. All 22 represent the Universe, God, Planetary movements, and Nature's Laws. These natural stages are what we all will go through in common. They are the unchangeable structures of what holds life together. Major Arcana is the Chapter we go through in our lives, rising levels of awareness, and lessons we are suppose to learn.
