The Stuff of Legend: Heinrich Schliemann's Life and Work by American School of Classical Studies at Athens

Episode notes

In 1936, Heinrich Schliemann’s children, Andromache Melas and Agamemnon Schliemann, deposited the bulk of their father’s personal papers at the American School “on loan,” and on the condition that they would not be accessed without the family's permission.

In this podcast Eleftheria Daleziou has invited Dr. Stefanie Kennell, independent researcher with a strong commitment to Schliemann studies, to discuss the history of the custody of the Schliemann Papers since they first arrived at the American School in 1936.
