Season 4

Week 41 [Season 4, Episode 17 / Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Episode 94]

Look, when you spin the wheel, sometimes you lose. Such is the nature of lady luck, although to be honest I place most of this blame on the person who recommended LotGH. You know who you are. Oh, and prepare for more Kingdom Hearts garbage. (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Fist of the North Star, Episode 83! Hell yeah!) [Music/audio used: Intro - Every Time I Close My Eyes by Babyface | Outro - Clip of "The Uninformed!" from Laboring Under Delusions by Paul F Tompkins] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]

Week 42 [Season 4, Episode 18 / Fist of the North Star, Episode 83]

After about 10 minutes discussing Star Track and whatever the hell Space Cases was, we get down to bizness: Groucho and his ice-powers. Abolish ice. Then, we experience a magical story about a large man who wanders into a town and punches another guy (who loves to take baths) until he explodes. You know, anime. (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Fist of the North Star, episode 141! Yeah, again!) [Music used: Intro -- Why Don't We Do It In The Road by The Beatles | Outro -- End Theme of The Dukes of Hazzard] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]

Week 43 [Season 4, Episode 19 / Fist of the North Star, Episode 141] (Feat. Mr. Jimmy)

They said it would never happen. They claimed I could never manage to wrangle some rube into an online chat with us to talk about stupid animes. They were wrong. (Follow Mr. Jimmy on Mastodon at @MrJimmy@mastodon.xyz) (Anime Roulette's selection for next week: Yakitake!! Japan, Episode 37) [Music used: Intro -- Birthday by The Beatles | Outro -- While My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]

Week 44 [Season 4, Episode 20 / Yakitate!! Japan, Episode 37]

We all feel the absence of Mr. Jimmy as it's back to just the regular two chucklefucks. Doesn't help that this episode is mostly a snooze, so instead we discuss the Mountain Dew Wiki some more. Thankfully, Bread Anime was here to save the day. (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Toriko, episode 144) [Music used: Intro -- 21st Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson | Outro -- clip from A Mighty Wind] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]

Week 45 [Season 4, Episode 21 / Toriko, Episode 144]

I'm sick and George is drunk, as we learn more about how King Crimson works. Meanwhile, we talk about Devil May Cry, Zombie Bucciarati, and the newest attempt at making a watchable Ghostbusters movie. Then, Toriko happens. (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Street Fighter 2: The Animated Series, Episode 19. N-n-n-nineteen.) [Music used: Intro -- Starless by King Crimson | Outro -- clip from Da Shatner Funk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLpLU7D7MWk ] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]

Week 46 [Rohan OVA ep 1 / Street Fighter 2: The Animated Series, episode 19]

We head back to the warm, familiar embrace of Diamond is Unbreakable, as we watch the first episode of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, or whatever you want to call it, there are like 8 names for it. It sucks anyway, so whatever. Thankfully, this week is saved by an episode of the Saturday morning Street Fighter cartoon where Blanka creates peace in the Middle East. (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Majin Bone, episode 47) [Music used: Intro -- Guile's Theme from Street Fighter 2. Also contains clips from Aqua Teen Hunger Force and George Carlin's special Complaints and Grievances] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]

Week 47 [Season 4, Episode 22 / Majin Bone, Episode 47]

After about 20 minutes talking about the Stadia and DMC5, we get to a couple of kinda sucky episodes. At least the gayness is becoming more and more overt. That's the one good thing here. There's also a lot of Metal Gear talk in here. I know some people are into that. Side note: audio levels are a bit different here, my bars lied to me about our relative volumes. It'll be fixed next week, sorry for my loudness. (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Reborn! episode 184) [Music used: Intro -- Moon Rocks by Talking Heads | Outro -- Police on my Back by The Clash]

Week 48 [Season 4, Episode 23 / Reborn! Episode 184]

As mentioned in the intro, if you don't want to hear me rant about Sekiro (and recent Souls games in general), that ends at around 21:40. Do not email me about how you like the game and I am wrong, because I Do Not Give A Shit. After that, we see Narancia redeem himself, and George finds out he underestimated the amount of baby content in Reborn!. (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Tiger Mask W, episode 20) [Music used: Intro -- Guns of Brixton by The Clash | Outro -- Take Me to the River (live Stop Making Sense version) by Talking Heads] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]

Week 49 [Season 4, Episode 24 / Tiger Mask W, Episode 20]

This week, we deal with a fairly uneventful episode by discussing Jokers, Smokers, and Midnight Tokers. We also get back to rediscovering the magic of Ulillillia's modern classic, "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters". Plus, wrestling! (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Yowamushi Pedal! episode 24) [Music used: Intro -- Juicy by Notorious B.I.G. | Outro -- Foreign Object by The Mountain Goats] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]

Week 50 [Season 4, Episode 25 / Yowamushi Pedal, Episode 24]

This week contains more readings from Nick Smith's modern classic The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters, because I guess that's just a regular thing now, and we consider a very lucrative new business proposition. Also a plane crashes and there are bike-abs. (Next week's Anime Roulette selection: Street Fighter II V, episode 20) [Music used: Intro -- Say You'll Be There by the Spice Girls | Outro -- Bicycle Race by Queen] [Anime Roulette theme: Roulette! by Electric Six]
