A Prayer About Confession

A Prayer about CONFESSION When my sin separates me from God HEAVENLY FATHER, Today I'm feeling guilty about something I've done. I know you don't intend for me to live with this guilt, but it has a purpose: it prompts me to confess my wrong to you. Lord, you know that I want things to be right between us. I admit my wrong and receive your cleansing forgiveness. Because I have confessed my sin and turned away from it, you have promised to remove my guilt, restore my joy, and heal my broken soul with your forgiving love. Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long.... Finaly, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the LORD. And you-forgave me! All my guilt is gone. PSALM 32: 1-3, 5

A Prayer About Passion

A Prayer about PASSION When my passion for God has waned LORD GOD, My passion for following you has lessened. I find that my mind and heart are often focused on something else—any new thing in my life that seems fresh and exciting. I really don't want to move away from you; I want to be near you! Lord, I know that if what I'm most excited about is not what you want in my life, my passion for you will quickly die. Please help me. Give me the self-discipline to control my thoughts and help me to return my focus to you. I know that when I focus on you, I will again respond to you with joy. You will restore me. You must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don't drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. COLOSSIANS I:23

Life’s demands

✨LIFE'S DEMANDS✨ When life's demands seem overwhelming MERCIFUL GOD, The demands on my life seem impossible to deal with right now. The tasks are too hard, the burdens too much to bear, the schedule too full to manage. When demands pile up, may I always turn to you, my only source of help. Lord, please carry the burden for me or give me the strength to continue. In my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I cried to my God LORD; yes, I cried to my God for help.... My cry reached his ears. 2 SAMUEL 22:7

✨A prayer about character✨

Prayerful Moment A Prayer about CHARACTER When I find myself wanting to be a woman whom others admire. O LORD, I confess that I sometimes put my emphasis on something that does not last-my outward appearance. I want others to admire me, but I know that outward beauty is not what will spur true admiration. Teach me that the most admirable qualities grow from having deep respect for you. I want to reflect your character, God. As I do that, may I develop the qualities that others can look up to. Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Amein

A Prayer For Adaptability

Prayer For ✨ADAPTABILITY When I need to adapt to life's changes RIGHTEOUS GOD, I know that the ability to adapt goes hand in hand with trusting you. As I learn to trust that you love me and that you have the best plans for my life, I will be able to adjust willingly and quickly when the road of life takes a sudden sharp turn. Father, please help me to understand that I don't need to know all the details of your plan to obey it—l know your way is best. no matter where it takes me. Teach me to let go of the desire to control my life. May I move forward in faith and obedience, realizing that because you know the way, I dont have to. It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. HEBREWS 11: 8-9

Come Who Are weary

Comfort for the weary For the weak, worried, and worn-down, the opening words of Isaiah 40 ring out: "Comfort, yes, comfort My people!' says your God" (V. 1). George Handel chose these words from Isaiah 40:1 as the opening words for his oratorio Messiah. Handel drew heavily from the words of the Old Testament prophets as he wrote the words for the Messiah, with the Book of Isaiah being the most used Isaiah wrote these prophetic words to the Jewish exiles who would live in Babylon in captivity, about 150 years later. Chapters 40-55 contain prophecies of comfort for them. Isaiah looked forward to the time when the captives would return home, and ultimately to the Second Coming and the full salvation that Christ would bring to those who receive Him. The word comfort is used three times there in the first two verses of chapter 40, signaling that the people's suffering is coming to an end. The chapter ends with those stirring words of encouragement that the people would "mount up with wings like eagles" and that they would "not be weary" and "not faint. The key is found in verse 31: "those who wait on the LorD." Waiting suggests STUDY THE BOOK Isaiah 40:1-31 Have an active confidence and hope, not resigning ourselves to whatever may happen. Faith transforms a person's life, and faith is developed as we wait on the Lord. This faith-growth through waiting and watching to see God working in our lives-sustains us so we can run and we can walk, going with God every step of the way. No wonder Isaiah stressed the word comfort. The exiles, who were straining and struggling under the weight of captivity, would soar like eagles through God's power. Comfort indeed. MORE INSIGHT Isaiah knew the Jews living in captivity would wrestle with feelings of loneliness and despair. So he wrote of God's comfort and eagles wings and not fainting. Psalms is filled with promises of God's presence and comfort. The psalmist wrote in Psalm 56:8 that God "put my tears into [His) bottle." For more verses of comfort, see Psalms 34:18; 46:1; 55:22; 71:20, 21; and 147:3. previous: Isaiah 35:1-10 next: Isaiah 42:1-4

Clothed In Grace

Clothed in Grace You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds. EPHESIANS 4:22-23 NIV Fashion comes and goes with every new season. If you don't follow it closely, you could be wearing last year's wardrobe before you realize that you are totally out of date! You may not care much about fashion, but living in the past can indicate a lack of acceptance of the present. Such is the illustration with our salvation. When we accepted Christ as our Savior, we accepted a new life— one that is free from the power of sin, and one that began our spiritual, eternal life. If you feel like you have been caught wearing sin like an ugly, old garment, take it off! Instead, clothe yourself with an attitude of forgiveness and the freedom that was given to you through Jesus. Jesus, forgive me for going back to some of my old sinful habits. Thank you that you have given me a new life that allows me to have freedom from my sinful nature. Give me an attitude that willingly throws off my old life, so I can live by your grace.

Persistent Obedience

Persistent obedience STUDY THE BOOK Jeremiah 1:10-19 In the way our culture usually judges successful people, Jeremiah would probably preached that God would make Jerusalem be labeled a failure. Although he served as a "curse to all the nations of the earth" (Jer. God's prophet for more than forty years, he 26:6)-that even the religious leaders tried to kill him (Jer. 26:8). was consistently rejected by the people of Yet where the people of Judah were Judah, ranging from the rulers to the ordinary faithless, Jeremiah was consistently faithful, citizens. God sent Jeremiah out to "root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant" (v. 10). Changes of this magnitude do not come without pain, and as is often the case, the easiest person to blame is the messenger. Jeremiah did not run from God's call, even when God told previous: Jeremiah 1:1-5 next: Jeremiah 3:1-25 him he would face great opposition in delivering the message (vy. 18, 19). The people were so angered by Jeremiah's condemnation.

Call Me ☎️

Call Me! ☎️ Call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. JEREMIAH 33:3 NASB Have you ever used caller ID to make sure that you don't answer phone calls that you don't want to? Maybe you haven't, but we all know the feeling of not wanting to talk to someone. Maybe we're concerned about being uncomfortable, we don't know what to say, or we just don't want to have to say "no" to whatever is asked of us. Let's not make that same assumption about God's response when he hears us call out to him! God himself asks us to call on him, and he tells us that he will answer. God knows us—heart, mind, and soul. He is never going to be stuck without a response. He desires communication with us. He wants us to know so much about him that we begin to understand great and mighty things that we didn't know before. Give him a call today! Hello, Lord Jesus. Thank you that you want to listen to me. I have a lot of things to talk to you about. I would love some answers, too. Would you reveal something of yourself to me today? I know that there are many great and wonderful things that I don't know yet, and 1 am ready
