Join us for an engaging evening at Genesis Cinema on Thursday, March 28th at 6pm as we delve into the complexities of Black representation in popular culture. We're excited to present a screening of American Fiction followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring esteemed industry professionals. Panelists: Adi Alfa: A multi-award-winning Actress, Writer, Producer & Director. Adi's prolific production company, Media Worx, is known for its diverse range of content spanning from branded content to documentaries. Her portfolio includes directing for brands like Benjart, Guinness, Nike, Momcozy, and Oceansapart. Adi recently directed an impactful short film called Bleached Out, & also earned the Best Actress award at The Scream Queens Festival for her work in the film Traces, which she wrote. Bunmi Mojekwu: An Actress, Artist & Filmmaker with notable roles in Misfits, Powder Room, and Eastenders, where she portrayed the first Nigerian family to feature in the series. Bunmi's excellence in Eastenders earned her a Screen Nation Awards nomination. She is also the founder of BAM Productions, a company focusing on film and art. Keziah Ogun: A Content Executive at a Streaming Network/ Broadcaster, Keziah brings a wealth of experience from her previous role at Channel 4 as a Specialist Factual Genre Associate. With expertise in artist management and talent recruitment, Keziah offers unique insights into the industry. Feed’em: A Rapper, Presenter & Creative Arts Director who seamlessly integrates his Christian faith into his art. His award-winning songs are regularly featured on BBC Radio, showcasing his talent and influence in the music scene. Moderated by:Ola Adesanya: Founder of The Reel Happy Hour Podcast & The Reel Visions Group (Film Club). Ola brings his passion for film and insightful perspectives as he guides the discussion.
