Today we talked to Chief Ray Landry. Ray joined the Lafayette Fire Department in 1965 and spent 23 years with the department, ultimately retiring as a District Chief. He was with the department during times where there was a lot of change and growth. When trying to document the firefighting history of our area, there aren't too many that are better than Ray. It was pleasure to have him on and tell the stories that he wanted to tell. Some were fun and some were serious. We talked about cooking at the station, training, rescues and station culture and much more. We hope you enjoy the episode. And Yes, we know there's a pop in the audio.
