Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, Scarab the gunslinger kobold meets two birdfolk, Colonel Cobb and Joq in the town of Falcon's Hollow. Scarab lost his wagon and pig and hired the two birds to help him find it. They meet with the sheriff of the town and learn of a missing person and a possible werewolf in the forest. Our heroes then head to the lumber mill to get more information. After Joq’s near death from deadly mosquitoes, the group decides to camp in the forest for the night. Our story continues now! Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, Scarab leads the two bird brains through the forest following the tracks of a hunter and their prey. The Colonel willingly falls into a spike trap, and finds a dead hunter. After that, the large rooster tries to kill himself again by bumbling into a wolf den. Joq and Scarab are able to distract the wolves and save the Colonel. Traversing the forest again, the group saves a fox from a trap, but then they are ambushed by a hobgoblin. The heroes stomp the hobgoblin and then take pity on him, sending him on his way with some food. As they travel deeper into the forest, they find a large terrifying bipedal wolf that speaks with its mind! Our story continues, and probably ends now! Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, our heroes spoke with the large wolfman living in mysterious ruins. He was not interested in conversation, and the group decided to stop pestering him before things got ugly. Upon further inspection, this creature was actually a Worg! As our heroes bumbled through the forest and contemplated on what to do next, they came across a campsite next to an abandoned creepy hut. Scarab discovered tracks of other Kobolds at the campsite, and there was evidence of a struggle. Before following the tracks the group decides to check the hut for leads. Turns out the hut used to be a witch hut, and it was still inhabited by an animated cauldron! After dispatching the angry cauldron, Joq finds a creepy shrunken head. Following the Kobold tracks, our heroes are able to take cover as a wyvern flies overhead. Our heroes then discover the oldest darkwood tree in the forest. As Joq samples some bark from the tree, he notices a few bodies hanging from the branches, and is then attacked by a large serpent! Our story continues now! Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, Joq collected some darkwood from an elder darkwood tree, and was then ambushed by a Wyrm. The creature almost killed Joq but a well placed shot by Scarab ended its life. Looting the bodies in the tree, the heroes found a map of the forest, and a place labeled as Droskar’s Crucible. The group then decides to head back to Falcon's Hollow for the night. While in town they gathered information and a silver longsword that may come in handy. They learn from an apothecary that special mushrooms are needed to help symptoms of the strange sickness. Colonel Cobb notices the small fox is following him, and he finally names it. While gathering information, the party learned that the founding families of Falcon’s Hollow may have witch blood in their lineage. Our story continues now!
