After completing the first gym of Gold, Silver, and Crystal it is time to go on a journey to get to Violet City in the Manga and Anime and see where things match up. Apparently there are a LOT of woods in the Anime version of Johto. In the Manga we get to meet the main character who is, of course, Gold while Silver seems to be a bad guy. But we meet a ton of Johto Pokemon at Gold's house. Best of all, Shea Locke has two learning moments thanks to the anime. What Phanpy's evolution is ACTUALLY named and the super subtle secret to Hoothoot's design...
