When starting out in photography, it's natural to place your subject smack-dab in the middle of the frame. After all, that's where the camera often points us. But here's a secret that can instantly elevate your images: not everything needs to be in the middle. In fact, positioning your subject off-center often leads to more compelling and visually engaging photographs. Think about giving your subject some breathing room on one side – it can dramatically change how the viewer experiences the image, especially when that subject implies movement or direction.

Don't just take my word for it. Try a simple experiment: photograph the same subject three times with it centered, and then three times with it deliberately placed off to one side. You'll likely see the difference.
