Confidence and boldness, as discussed in the previous verses comes when we are saved and become the children of God. As evidenced by our growing love for God and others, while being honest with ourselves, delighting in obeying God's commands.
All this however is possible only if we have a God given Faith that leads us to victory as maturing Christians.
