Good afternoon. North Dakota. I'm Matt Mullins.
Spring's crashing the party today with a vengeance. We've got a Wind Advisory until 7 P.M. and temperatures that'll make you question the calendar.
Bismarck takes the crown at 68 degrees this afternoon. West winds gusting to 32 miles an hour. Fargo sits at 60 with southwest winds at 17. Up in Grand Forks, you hit 59, but hold onto your hats — west winds are screaming at 30 miles an hour with gusts to 43. That's the kind of wind that rearranges your trash cans.
Tonight? Everything changes. A cold front drops south through the evening, dragging scattered rain and snow showers with it. Northern areas could see mixed precipitation between 6 P.M. and 10 P.M. Then the bottom falls out. Lows crash to the upper 20s statewide — 32 in Fargo, 29 in Bismarck, 26 up north. Winds flip northwest behind the front.
