God commands all His people to pray, especially men to set the example of a dependent and surrendered life. - Ephesians 6:18 - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - 1 Timothy 2:1-8

8 I desire (have you know, will deliberately, have purpose) then that in every place (space marked off) the men (aner: a male) should pray, lifting holy hands without anger (wrath) or quarreling; (disputing or arguing what is true)...” - (Psalm 63:4 - “So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.”

As men are to set the example of a dependent and surrendered life expressed in lifting holy hands, women must also live a dependent and surrendered life to Christ expressed in modesty.
