'Venom: The Last Dance' brings to a close this epic symbiote journey for Eddie Brock and his best mate, Venom. Even though Sony get a bad wrap for their Spidermanless spin offs, the Venom films are ones that I do have a soft spot for. They're simply dumb fun with a brilliant performance from Tom Hardy.
'The Last Dance' continues that trend of dumb fun and Tom Hardy shining, however, I did come away a tad disappointed with this entry. As final outings go, this one left a lot to be desired - and though Venom does get an explosive and emotional send off, I can't help but think that the studio and filmmakers just missed the mark with this one. Maybe they spent too long editing and cutting this to an inch of its life, who knows? But at least we can all agree that Tom Hardy is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to his portrayal of Eddie ...
