Jax is a member of Later Day Saints, and while he looks like a youth pastor with great hair, he actually was a pioneer. He served a two year mission for his church which truly solidified his faith. While his version of faith may look different than mine or yours, Jax truly loves Jesus and I think that's a wonderful thing.
