All eyes are on the tropics where a disturbance, named Invest 99L, is expected to become a tropical depression in the Caribbean Sea, and then likely to strengthen into a tropical storm or perhaps a hurricane as it meanders through the Gulf of Mexico, according to the National Hurricane Center.
