Having saved most of his saplings, an exhausted Emmanuel takes refuge in the office with Mayra and, overcome with gratitude, kisses her. But Mayra is not used to this kind of affection and takes it rather badly.

Emmanuel, embarrassed and confused, immediately receives a phone call from Gianni, to whom he clumsily attempts to explain what happened, receiving an affectionate scolding in return.
