Ecuador demands fair prices and anti-narcotics support for banana exports

At the Fruit Attraction fair in Madrid, Ecuador —the world’s leading banana exporter— urged European markets to guarantee fair prices and cooperate in the fight against drug trafficking hidden in shipments. The sector invests over $100 million annually in security and also promotes fair wages and the elimination of child labor.
