Nick Conte is a North Providence, Rhode Island native and was considered one of the best pitchers in the state towards the end of his high school career.
Conte was a staple to Rhode Island pitchers. So much so that he considered entering the MLB draft after graduating in 2020. However, COVID-19 had other plans.
With the Coronavirus taking over the world, Conte decided to take his talents to the college level. He decided on Duke University and played there for three seasons.
Having a stand out season the summer before the 2024 MLB Draft, Conte was selected in the 8th round to the Kansas City Royals and is just getting started in his professional career.
