Here are some of the updates and changes we’ve made to RSS.com Podcasting since the beginning of 2021.
January 2021
In January 2021, we added a new cover image component at the episode level in our dashboard. This allows users to add a cover image to each individual episode that is displayed on podcast directories. This feature provides our customers with an additional way to offer a visual flair to their individual episodes. They can either make the image a representation of what the episode consists of, or just use it for visual interest.

One highlight from the technical standpoint is the further improvement of service observability: if an error occurs, our engineers will get notified even faster and will get to work to fix it, and provide a seamless experience to our customers.
February 2021
In February 2021, we deployed the new version of our public shows pages! All our podcasts include a beautifully designed public website that now uses a dark theme to recall the “theatre mode”, where content is the protagonist. The page also includes a new custom player built in-house, and is mobile-friendly, making for a better listener experience.
March 2021
In March 2021, our main technical update was the creation of a new RSS Feed Generation service, completely decoupled from our existing core services. In a nutshell, the new RSS feed generation service allowed us to reduce up to 90% of the generation time of our RSS feeds for larger podcasts with more than 50 episodes.
We also made additional improvements to enhance the SEO for our public shows pages, which also feature the AMP technology. AMP allows us to reduce the loading time of search results pointing to our website to almost zero on mobile devices. We improved the audio loading speed of our new web player as well. We are on a quest to make everything super fast and simple for our users!
