In this episode of What Was She Thinking?, Kim and Sharla wrap up the final four episodes of Furious, diving into Alice’s powerful comeback and the messages of resilience, accountability, and refusing to live as a victim.
We loved seeing Alice find her strength again, while Nora and Catherine each bring their own powerful perspectives on what it means to confront pain and reclaim your life. The series does a great job of showing how trauma can affect people in very different ways—and how unprocessed wounds can continue to shape us even when we appear to be functioning normally.
We also take a closer look at the patriarchal systems that protect men and allow harmful behavior to go unchecked. Marshall receiving an award after his attack on Alice is one of the clearest examples of how these systems can reward or protect the very people who cause harm.
But Furious isn't only a story about trauma. It's also a story about resilience, transformation, and what can happen when women begin to take back their power.
As we look toward Season 2, we're especially interested in how the characters' unresolved wounds may resurface and influence the choices they make moving forward.
