Dead Space: Downfall (2008): When EA Spent No Money On A Movie

Jamie and Rory review this animated prequel to EA's infamous space-dwelling survival horror franchise. Set aboard the USG Ishimura at the time the mysterious "marker" is brought aboard. The film charts the chaos that ensues and the slow descent into madness that leads the Ishimura to the state you find it in when playing the first Dead Space game. Yoten Yo (Alan Wake 2) (2023): What Is This Arthouse Madness?

An unusual episode for VGMP this week. This isn't an adaptation of a game but rather a film contained within a game. Remedy's incredible survival horror game Alan Wake 2 contains in it a full arthouse-style movie that is surreal and disturbing. Jamie and Rory decided to talk about it, mainly so Jamie could have an excuse to talk about Alan Wake 2! Five Nights at Freddy's (2023): Five Nights, Burger And Frights More Like

Blumhouse adapt this popular horror franchise that dominated much of the 2010s, performing remarkably well particularly for an indie game. Will the simple, jump-scare focused gameplay translate to a movie though? Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Sonic the Hedgehog: Night of the Werehog (2008): Ghosts Are Wrecked By Were-Sonic!

A short CGI spin off of the game Sonic Unleashed, this sees Sonic haunted by a duo of spirits who are competing to win the affections of a lady ghost by seeing who can scare Sonic the most. Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Dead Rising: The Movie (2010): I Got... My Balls Back!

Produced by Capcom for release in Japan, Dead Rising: The Movie presents a new chapter in the developers second biggest zombie horror series. This low budget film may be lacking in budget but it makes up for it with plenty of whacky characters and inventive zombie action. Does it make for as enjoyable a movie as it does a videogame though?
