Captain N: The Game Master (1989): N for Nintendo, Definitely For Nintendo

DiC return to the podcast this week with another of their Saturday morning cartoons based on a videogame. This time around it's Captain N: The Game Master, a giant Nintendo commercial featuring appearances from all of the iconic Nintendo characters such as Mega Man, Kid Icarus, Simon Belmont and Super Ma-...oh, wait, what's that? Mario isn't in this? They didn't even get Luigi? Oh. What are we doing here then? Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Mortal Kombat (1995): Jamie's Nemesis Tackles Rory's Beloved Fighting Franchise

Season 1

Sonic the Hedgehog OVA (1996): Catgirl Breast-Feeding Was Extremely Unexpected

In this episode of VGMP the boys take a look at the Japanese Sonic The Hedgehog OVA from 1996 which was released in western territories as Sonic The Hedgehog The Movie. It's an animated movie that definitely makes some interesting choices when it comes to voice cast and some of the more "anime" elements found in the film (yes, Robotnik kidnaps a cat-girl then fantasises about having an entire brood of children with her, it's weird, we move past it.) The Wizard (1989): Christian Slater Chases an Autistic Boy Across America

Relive this classic VGMP episode where Rory showed Jamie one of his all time favourite movies and Jamie...mocked it relentlessly. This is 1989's The Wizard starring Beau Bridges, Christian Slater and Fred Savage and features the first ever footage western audiences saw of Super Mario Bros. 3! The Legend of Zelda (1989): Incel Link the TV Show

Relive the time Rory subjected Jamie to one of the worst and most gratingly annoying shows ever made. It's the infamous 1989 animated Legend Of Zelda series! Well excuse me indeed! Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021): A Very Unwelcome Bunch of Changes

After Paul W.S. Anderson wrapped up his Resident Evil series, the franchise was rebooted with Welcome To Raccoon City, directed by Johannes Roberts. Attempting to combine both of the first two games into one film may have been too high a task to start with, when you factor in the COVID-19 pandemic and the reduced budget Screen Gems gave the movie, it's possible this one was doomed to be dead on arrival. Resident Evil (2002): Jamie's Nemesis Steps into the Nightmare

Jamie faces his greatest arch-nemesis as the boys look back at the first instalment of Paul W.S. Anderson's awful yet somehow lucrative Resident Evil franchise. Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Noobz (2012): Jay and "Silent Knob" Casper Van Dien take on Gears of War

Jamie and Rory take on this indie movie about a gang of nerds trying to prove they haven't wasted their lives by entering a Gears of War 3 tournament. They may not have wasted their lives but this movie will certainly waste your time... Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Starcade (1982): Jeopardy meets Pac-Man with Bored Gameshow Hosts

Rory and Jamie go back in time to one of the first pieces of video game television - Starcade! Is Starcade a gameshow that can still grab your attention? Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Postal (2007): Gross-Out Comedy from the World's Worst Director

Uwe Boll once described Postal as "the most important film" in his back catalogue. We still can't figure out why. Strap yourselves in and enter the Boll-verse with Jamie and Rory as they review what must surely be one of the most ill conceived and outright offensive movies of all time. Surely?
