[§204] Rev 12:8-9: Lucifer Prevailed Not and Was Cast Out

This podcast explains the signs and symbolism used by John in Revelation 12:8-9 to describe the end of the premortal war in heaven that began in Revelation 12:7. Revelation 12:8 states that the war in heaven ended because Lucifer and his rebellious angels did not prevail against Michael and his heavenly hosts during the premortal war. When Lucifer was defeated, he and his followers were cast out of heaven on Kolob and they were cast down to this earth at the time of its physical creation. Lucifer’s death during the war in heaven is in the likeness of his future defeat in the battle of Armageddon at the Second Coming and the conditions of peace that will follow during the millennium.
