Road Rage, Bucket Lists & Podcast Glow-Ups (with Producer Robert Altschuler)

Jennifer is back with her producer, Robert Altschuler, for a wide-ranging (and wildly funny) conversation that covers everything from flipped Teslas and traffic meltdowns to bucket lists, baseball dreams, and even The Walking Dead. What starts as a rant about LA road rage and Topgolf fails turns into a deep dive on bucket lists—Jennifer shares why Disneyland doesn’t make the cut for her, but stepping up to the plate to hit a real pitch absolutely does. They also get candid about how the pandemic derailed priorities, reshaped families, and left lasting marks on kids and parents alike. The two trade stories about burned-out Palisades neighborhoods that looked straight out of a post-apocalyptic movie, their favorite podcasts, and how Unpacking with Jennifer is evolving. From logo and thumbnail refreshes to the exciting shift into video (yes, you’ll finally get to see Jennifer’s dance moves, faces, and rants in real time), this episode peels back the curtain on what’s next for the show. Of course, no Jennifer + Robert banter would be complete without mayonnaise jokes, random arguments, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Hit play, buckle up, and don’t forget to like, subscribe, and follow—because you won’t want to miss what’s coming next. #UnpackingWithJennifer #PodcastLife #RealTalkPodcast #BucketListGoals #TrafficRants #RoadRageStories #PostCovidLife #PodcastEvolution #ComedyPodcast #ParentingAndChaos #OrganizedLiving #LifeUnpacked #CommandRecordingStudios #CommandCreativeStudios #RobertAltschuler

“I Like to Talk… A Lot” with David Satel

This 30th milestone episode of Unpacking with Jennifer Satel is a special one. Jennifer is joined again by her husband, David Satel, with their daughter Charlette opening the show in her own unfiltered way: “Mommy, I like to talk. I like to talk a lot. I can’t even go five minutes without talking.” What starts with laughter (and a few “poop grenade” stories from life with four dogs) quickly turns into a powerful and emotional conversation. Jennifer opens up about the recent passing of her father, her complicated relationship with him, and what it was like to navigate dementia, forgiveness, and grief. David shares his own experience of sudden loss, offering perspective, compassion, and honesty about how grief lingers in unexpected ways. Together, they talk about love, loss, family chaos, and why letting go of what doesn’t serve us is so important. You’ll laugh, cry, and maybe reflect on the people in your own life who mean the most. #UnpackingWithJennifer #MarriageTalk #ParentingUnfiltered #FamilyStories #MomLifeUnfiltered #LifeAndLoss #ParentingHumor #GriefJourney #MarriageAndParenting #PodcastMilestone #WorkLifeBalance #FamilyFirst

Erica’s Back – From Dog Drama to Parenting Wins. Part 2

In this second part of Jennifer’s conversation with her lifelong best friend Erica, things take a turn right out of a TV drama. Jennifer recounts the terrifying (and kind of gross) story of saving a French bulldog mid-seizure—with blood, foam, and all—only to surprise herself with how calm she stayed in the middle of the chaos. But it’s not all dog emergencies—Jennifer and Erica also unpack parenting teens with ADHD, celebrating big milestones like Isaac’s graduation, the special bond between siblings with a big age gap, and navigating kindergarten drop-offs during the pandemic era. With lots of laughter, heartfelt reflections, and a few “oh my gosh” moments, this episode is real, raw, and full of relatable mom life stories. If you’ve ever doubted your ability to stay calm in a crisis—or wondered how the heck to juggle parenting kids in completely different life stages—this episode is for you! Travel Tales and Turkish Mishaps with My Bestie: Part 2 with Kim Kehl

Last week, my best friend Kim Kehl and I started unpacking our wildest travel stories, and let me tell you, we're just getting warmed up! In part two of our international adventures, we're diving deeper into the chaos. This week, we're reliving our near-death experience in Italy on the night of the World Cup final, where we drove a German-plated car into a sea of victory celebrations. You'll hear about the bizarre, multi-hour dinner that taught us a lesson in patience and the "jet fuel-dipped-in-ass" cherry moonshine that had us questioning our life choices. The real fun begins when we get to our trip to Turkey. From being shamed for our sleeveless maxi dresses in a bazaar to a Turkish bath experience that was...well, memorable for all the wrong reasons. We’re talking about a hairdryer drug deal, a surprise heat wave on a ferry, and a smart car that couldn't handle our over-packed suitcases. Grab a glass of "purse cheese" and join us as we laugh through the best and most absurd moments of our travels, proving that some of the best memories are made when everything goes completely wrong. #UnpackingWithJennifer #Podcast #BestFriends #TravelStories #Turkey #Italy #TravelFails #BestieGoals #LifeStories #FunnyStories #FriendshipGoals #LaughingLoud #Organizing #MomLife #WorkLifeBalance #NewEpisode #PodcastLife #ComedyPodcast #Humor #Hilarious #TurkishBath #TravelAbroad #Overpacking #BadChoicesGoodStories

Road Trip to Ridiculousness: A Best Friend's Guide to Chaos" Part 1 with Kim Kehl

You asked for it, and she's back! My best friend, Kim Kehl, is joining me for a hilarious two-part series where we're leaving the organizing tips behind (just for now!) to unpack our most epic travel stories. This week, we're flashing back to our mid-20s on a wild Vegas trip that kicked off a lifetime of adventures. From a sugar daddy-sponsored suite and a male strip club with "cantaloupe-colored banana hammocks" to a jewelry competition gone hilariously wrong at a fancy restaurant, this episode is packed with stories that will make you snort-laugh. We’re talking about the time a $22 Wet Seal watch almost brought a fancy dinner to a complete halt and the cringe-worthy moment I realized I was wearing "Save a horse, ride a cowboy" pajamas in front of a pair of hot, shirtless strippers. Grab your bestie, a drink, and get ready to laugh until you cry. We're getting vulnerable and a little bit silly as we reminisce about the choices we made "back in the day" and how they shaped our friendship. “Pretzels, Produce & Pillow-Sized Laughs with Samantha Sirota”

This week on Unpacking with Jennifer, Jennifer welcomes the magnetic and multi-talented Samantha Sirota — co-founder of Good Box Organics, fourth-generation Angeleno, artist, mom, and proud owner of a pillow-sized bag of pretzels. What started as a serendipitous Pilates parking lot encounter turned into a story of friendship, fresh food, and a whole lot of organizing. Samantha opens up about her journey balancing entrepreneurship, creativity, and motherhood — including the joys and challenges of raising a son on the autism spectrum. She also shares how a recent ADHD diagnosis gave her new insight into how she functions best at home and in life. Plus, Jennifer gives us a peek into what it’s like organizing a true creative’s home — where everything has a story, and even the rocks might be art. ADHD, Apple Pay, and Crock Pot Confidence: A Candid Chat with Whitney Sturgis-Reid

This week on Unpacking with Jennifer Satel, Jennifer sits down with her wonderfully wild, laugh-out-loud guest Whitney Sturgis-Reid — a mom, stepmom, and self-proclaimed crock pot queen — to talk real life: parenting, ADHD, and that time her 9-year-old secretly charged $800 worth of Roblox on Apple Pay. They swap stories about blending families, learning to let go (yes, of stuff and guilt), and why the “$20 in 20 minutes” rule changed Whitney’s home and mindset forever. They dig into the emotional rollercoaster of raising kids, the unspoken highs and lows of step-parenting, and what it’s like parenting through chaos and clutter when your brain wants to chase every shiny object in the room. Also in this episode: microwave wins, measuring pepper precisely, and why being the mom who just keeps trying might be the most badass thing of all. New episodes drop every Wednesday.
