You Can’t Earn Salvation! The Truth About Grace, Faith & Good Works
Episode notes
🌱 Welcome to Underneath the Surface 🌱 In this episode, we’re diving into a foundational truth of the Christian faith: You can’t earn your way into heaven.
No amount of good works, striving, or self-righteousness can compare to the free gift of salvation that comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We break down Ephesians 2:8-10, reminding ourselves and our listeners that we are God’s workmanship, created for good works — but not saved by them. This is a message for every believer who’s ever felt like they had to “be better” to be accepted by God.
We discuss how religion, performance, and people-pleasing distort the gospel — and how freedom comes when we rest in the finished work of Jesus. 🕊️ Whether you’ve been walking with God for years or are just discovering His love, this episode will encourage you to stop striving and start receiving.
💬 Let’s grow together — planted in truth, rooted in love, and reaching toward all God has for us. 🎧 Subscribe + turn on notifications to never miss an episode. 👇 Drop a comment below & share your thoughts or prayer requests! #GraceOverWorks #SalvationByFaith #Ephesians2 #ChristianPodcast #JesusSaves #FaithNotWorks #UnderneathTheSurface 📲 Follow us on Instagram: @underneaththesurface.uts
