#127 You Perform Even When No One Is Watching

You no longer have a life. You have a broadcast.

Every moment is auditioned before it is lived. Tested for how it will be received, adjusted for the invisible audience, trimmed of anything that would not survive being seen. The spontaneous went first. Then the private. Then the honest — whatever did not flatter you, you quietly stopped doing.

What remains is not experience. It is marketing for a self that no longer exists anywhere except in the eyes of others.
