Ep. 14 - The End of TikTok's Hegemony and Celebrity Couples with Big Age Gaps

Hi y'all. I think today's topic is probably one of the longest overdue. I have been reflecting on the alleged decline of TikTok's influence for a couple of months now but I think I have finally come to a fully fledged argument that is worth sharing with you all. Follow me as I explore what are some of the big (internal) problems the app has been facing and which can potentially bring its cultural dominion to an end. The second topic is more of a fun little discussion that seems to come back every now and then. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his wife specifically were the initial spark for this whole discourse, but yes I am going to be exploring some crazy age gaps between celebrity couples all in an attempt to test how far we can stretch our moral values. Today's episode is all about crazy pop culture news. The Oscars came and went, giving us some great outfits, incredible speeches and some disappointments too. But this week also brought us some crazy drama. Turns out Miley Cyrus' family is actually super messed up and split apart, even more than you'd expect. Ep. 11 - Dune Part 2 and Fifth Harmony Renaissance

This episode we get into two wildly different topics. First one is my very own review of the Dune Part 2 (and the franchise in general I guess) - the hidden themes, the politics, the religion, the lore, the comparison with the books, the SAND WORMS. You name it. This review is as spoiler free as it can be, but I will spoil the entire first movie, sorryyyyyy. The second story is instead focused on the rediscovery of Fifth Harmony, the 5 member girl group from the 2010s most notably know for songs like Worth It and Work From Home. This is a Pop Culture History lesson, so you better get your notes - I will get into the drama between the girls, the timeline of their career and just giggle about the crazy memes that came out of this iconic group. Greetings. This episode is a very very chaotic one. I have unexpectedly come across way too many new tracks this week so I had to dedicate a HUGE portion of the episode to that. But strap in for some great recommendations! They are ALL worth it. Main portion of the episode is centred on the inconsistencies of the English language (spelling and phonetics). UNUSUAL TOPIC. This episode we are talking about two very different and distinct stories: first, I delve into the complexities and monstrosities of AI generated deepfake pornography (all sparked by the recent slanderous fake pictures of Taylor Swift circulating online), the legal struggles in taming these dehumanising trends, our duties as consumers and internet users as well as denouncing the low commitment of many social media platforms to crack down dangerous content. The second topic covers a more lighthearted subject: a bit of a psychological analysis of situationships and mixed signals as well as some advices from yours truly on how to better face them.
