Season 1

I am ADHD, Yet I am Lucie

Wanna hear a joke? Hello, I’m ADHD, Hi ADHD, I’m Lucie. Get it? Because I am ADHD? Not funny. Okay… Anyways, today’s episode is all about ADHD and identity: How much of your personality can you base on your ADHD? Should you define yourself through your ADHD? Is ADHD something you have or something you are? To be or not to be, that is the question that I am going to address. There are no right or wrong answers but there are intentions behind these questions that may or may not be good for the neurodiverse community. Let’s talk about it! ADHD & Romantic Relationships: The Good, The Rad and The Lovely

It is not Valentine’s Day, but love is in the air, especially for those with ADHD! People with ADHD are capable of having loving, healthy and long-lasting romantic relationships, however, you wouldn’t know this because of the negative data and discourse surrounding ADHD and romantic relationships. Of course, relationships are hard no matter what, add ADHD it can be harder but also incredibly wonderful. Today’s episode is a conversation with my neurotypical boyfriend. We discuss the stigmas and myths surrounding dating someone with ADHD and we dispel them. I want this episode to reassure people with ADHD that they are capable of finding someone who will love and treasure them and that their ADHD is not a burden, it is a gift. It’s time we started talking about the positives of having an ADHD partner. The world of ADHD diagnosis is complex and fascinating and there is no one better to talk about it than my amazing mother! In today's episode we discuss the ADHD diagnosis process, my diagnosis, schooling an ADHD child and how parents of ADHD children can support themselves and their child. We also dispel the stigmas and tragedy attached to having a child with ADHD. Oh and fun fact: I never crawled! Why don’t we respect girls with ADHD?

This topic is very close to my heart as a young girl with ADHD who had a rocky time in her early school years. In this episode I explore the criminal under diagnosis of ADHD in girls and how the education system and medical world can better understand girls with ADHD so they do not slip through the cracks in terms of education, receiving a diagnosis and being able to excel in life. Furthermore, I share my experiences as an undiagnosed girl with ADHD in primary school and what not to do with ADHD students. Now Tie Your Laces- ADHD medication

This is a second ‘audio book’ episode with a twist! I read another piece I wrote called ‘Now Tie Your Laces’ which explores my experience taking ADHD medication and the stigmas surrounding it. I also interview my father where he shares his thoughts on ADHD, ADHD medication and being the father of a girl with ADHD. WOW, how many times can you say the word ADHD in a sentence?
