Conn's Corner 2 - How to Be 100% Confident in Any Situation
Welcome back to another episode of the Connversations podcast all - and in particular, another addition to the mini series - Conn's Corner! Confidence people! This is what this episode is all about. This mindset idea that I discuss in this episode was taken from the book called 'The Chimp Paradox' - a must read self-help book if you feel a need to make changes to your life - and maybe even 'take the conn' a little bit more. πŸ˜‰ See you all in a fortnight. πŸ’š

Hello people - welcome to the 13th episode of the Connversations podcast! This is a really special one, as I’m joined by my sister Beth - making this the very first time I’ve had a family member on the podcast 🀩 In this episode, Beth and I sit down for a relaxed, honest chat. We share memories of Conn growing up and what he was like as a brother and as a person… before moving onto Beth’s own mental health journey - from the challenges around childbirth to more recent existential thoughts. If you’ve ever found yourself questioning things, feeling a bit lost, or struggling to put certain thoughts into words, this episode will likely resonate - especially towards the end. Beth, it was genuinely lovely having you on. Talking about Conn and mental health isn’t always easy, but this conversation really opened the door for more honest, supportive chats between us - and hopefully for anyone listening too. Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Take care, and we’ll see you on a fortnight. πŸ’š

Good EVENING all! Welcome back to another episode of the Connversations Podcast! In this episode, we have the pleasure of having Lewis Mitchell on the beige sofa this time, as he discusses his mental health throughout his life - especially from his early years of growing up in and around football, amongst family worries - to now having a wonderful family and a job he thoroughly enjoys! (Shoutout @inclusivesport πŸ”₯) Honestly listening to this back, I am so proud of you Lewis for not only coming onto the pod, but managing to navigate through obstacle after obstacle, and be in a position where you can sit on that sofa and help so many others out there that may be in a similar situation to where you were before. Hope some of you find some comfort in Lewis’ words. πŸ™ Have a great week all. πŸ’š

Evening people - and welcome to another (slightly different) episode of the Connversations podcast! In this episode, we have a semi anonymous guest - we have Ryan on the sofa, BUT - without the camera! This was a genuinely lovely chat, as we dived really into Ryan's relationship with mental health throughout his life, all through the highs and lows - and especially with regards to unfortunately losing his cousin to suicide a few years ago. This was a topic me and Ryan really dived into, and in a strange way, it felt comforting knowing someone that has gone through a similar experience to yourself - so thank you Ryan for being so open on that topic. We then dived into some crazy David Goggins style motivation, so be sure to tune in on a Sunday night/Monday morning to really start off your week on the right foot! All jokes aside - you had some amazing points Ryan which I have no doubt will help people out there, to better understand themselves and their mental health. And just a reminder people, we do offer anonymous guests as part of the podcast - in whatever shape or form you want to come onto the podcast, your story matters and deserves to be heard. You were fantastic Ryan, thank you for finding the time and confidence to be a voice on this podcast, it was a brilliant chat! Hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead. πŸ’š

Good evening people - and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let's make 2026 a good one. πŸ’š For the very last episode of 2025, we have none other than Chlo Catt on the sofa with us this time! This was honestly a great chat, filled with plenty of topics that might help some of you out there as we go into 2026. I am so proud of you for coming onto the podcast Chlo, and Josh of course, her brother, for coming along to support! (The man you'll find heckling in the corner throughout the episode πŸ€πŸ˜†) I hope your 2026's are filled with lots of love and memories, and we'll see you again on the 11th! πŸ’š

Hello people! Hope we're all doing amazing. πŸ’š On the sofa this episode, we have the pleasure of having Connor Charles! Someone I've known for a very long time, and who shared a lot of memories with Conn with me growing up - a lot of it revolving around kickabouts at the park, to catching the bus together to school. Some really bittersweet memories. In this episode, we discussed Connor's mental health journey in full - from losing really important people in his family, to a messy breakup, and continuing to fall in a spiral, picking up bad habits, all the way to literally debating it all on top of a roof - it's a really raw episode and it needed to be. But then things changed - so please do watch/listen to the end as Connor explains how things changed for him, slowly but surely - and to now having a wonderful family with a kid and being much happier in himself! I'm so proud of you for coming on the pod Connor, I'm sure what you had to say will resonate with people out there. And thank you for reminding us, better days are always ahead. πŸ’š

HELLO PEOPLEEEE! Welcome to another episode of the Connversations Podcast - episode 8 to be precise (and episode 32 overall to be even more precise!) And in this one, we have a returning guest to the podcast, and someone that has pretty much been mentioned in each of the last 7 episodes πŸ˜† - Luke Gilbert! Almost exactly a year apart, me and Luke sit down in the Connversations studio once more, and discuss Luke's mental health - more raw, and even more open this time. We first reflect on the topics we spoke about last year and an update on those - and we then venture into Luke's 2025 as a whole - ranging from going on hike's together, finding an amazing mental health community - and also discovering his faith (it's been a BIG year for Luke!) But a really big topic of conversation was burnout, and how Luke really did and still is suffering from it, and the affect this has had on himself, and quite likely others around him. We discuss the signs of burnout and how to identify that you're struggling with it, and also tips that may help some of you avoid or work through burnout - something that Luke unfortunately discovered the hard way! Once again, I'm very proud of you Luke for coming on once more. I'm sure what you had to say WILL help someone out there, and it's so amazing seeing you continue to grow as a human being over these years. Keep smashing it! See you all in a fortnight - take care. πŸ’š

Hello and good day wherever and whenever you are seeing this - welcome to another episode of Connversations! In this episode, we are joined by Mike Ash - someone that I've been lucky enough to have known for almost 20 whole years - and someone who was very close to our Connor. πŸ’š We really delve into Mike's mental health journey - childhood memories with Connor - through ALL the highs and lows (COD Zombies in particular πŸ˜†) - but also as Mike entered adulthood, and being in a workplace which really didn't benefit his mental state, and how everything cumulated into almost a whole year that Mike ended up losing due to mental health struggles, And as always, Mike shared with us some tips that has helped him to see the light at the end of the tunnel - techniques that really helped him see the light and get himself back on track, which I'm absolutely certain will help a few of you out there - so please do stick around until the end. I am so proud of you for coming on Mike, as would Connor! I'm sure he would probably be very surprised this even happened too. πŸ˜†πŸ’š Hope everyone has a wonderful week. πŸ¦†

Hey guys - welcome to a rather belated upload of the latest Connversations episode! Oops πŸ€ͺ In this episode, I am joined by a good friend of mine, Tom Howard, who I am so glad finally plucked up the courage to come onto the podcast - we are all so proud of you Tom! We delve into Tom's mental health journey - all the way through being a rather difficult child (his words, not mine!) - navigating his early years along with a speech disorder, and how he's grown over the years into the lovely man he is today! Thanks for coming on to share your story Tom - I really learned a lot in this conversation about you, and I'm so sure what you had to say will absolutely help someone out there, especially someone who may be struggling with a speech disorder. Let this episode be a reminder that even when life throws you curveballs, and doesn't always go as planned - you can absolutely still grow and achieve what you want in life. Tom has got through 100% of his bad days, and so can you. See you all in a fortnight! πŸ’š

In this episode of Connversations, I sit down with Alex Forster, someone I've known for a little while now, mainly through football (and the gym when I turn up of course 😜) We delve into Alex's story - from his main passions in life being football, his journey through injuries - all the way through to work life and how important it is to hold yourself accountable when it comes to finances! And maybe a few questionable Harry Potter impressions along the way. πŸ€ͺ I really appreciate you coming on Alex - I'm sure your story will benefit someone out there. It was a pleasure to have a chat with you! Connversations - real stories, real people, real talk. πŸ’š You can find us on our different social media channels here: https://linktr.ee/connversations We'll be back on Sunday 19 October - take care in the meantime!
