[NEWS] Sacramento fugitive Camron Lee has been apprehended in Mexico and two missing children connected to the case have been safely recovered and returned to family in California. According to the FBI Sacramento Field Office, Lee was captured May 17 in Baja California following a public tip after a months-long international search connected to the 2024 death of Angelica Bravo in Sacramento. Athena Lee, 5, and Mateo Lee, 4, were safely reunited with family members. Officials from the FBI, Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, and Mexican authorities all assisted in the operation. The Sacramento Brief May 19, 2026- Deadly E-Bike Crash Near Mather Under Investigation | Olympic Swimmers Head to Natomas

Show Notes [NEWS] Two people are dead following a crash involving e-bike riders in Sacramento County near Eagles Nest Road and Woodring Drive, just south of the Mather Golf Course. Sacramento Metro Fire says four people were involved in the collision. Two victims were transported to the hospital with major and moderate injuries, while the two e-bike riders died at the scene. Officials say two individuals attempted to flee following the crash but were later arrested on related charges. The roadway was temporarily closed while the California Highway Patrol investigated. The road has since reopened. Also : Stolen Vehicle – Arrest Mack Road & Franklin Boulevard — 2:23 a.m. Sacramento Police located a stolen vehicle and safely detained the driver. Show Notes [NEWS] A stolen vehicle pursuit ended Sunday afternoon near the 4000 block of 23rd Avenue after two suspects attempted to flee on foot. The driver was taken into custody almost immediately, while the passenger reportedly lost a shoe during the chase before eventually being subdued. Also making headlines — Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Ernest Sawtelle sentenced Amyis Coogler to 40 years to life in prison for the 2022 murder of Corey Shearer. Prosecutors say DNA evidence, surveillance footage, and the firearm used in the shooting helped connect Coogler to the crime.
