"Jesus Continues Healing and The Sheep Without a Shepherd" Matthew 9:18-38

As we bring chapter 9 of Matthew to a close we continue to see more fascinating stories of His Healing ministry; A dead girl brought back to life, a woman bleeding for 12 years healed, two blind men and a mute demon possessed man all healed. As we look at these accounts there are certainly more incredible lessons to be learned culminating with the lsat passage of chapter 9, The workers are few. Jesus wraps up 9 showing compassion to these people, preaching, teaching, and healing, and imploring His disciples to pray that God would send workers into the field...... "Healing of Demoniacs and a Paralytic" Matthew 8:28-9:8

As we finish up chapter 8 and begin chapter 9 of Matthew, we see two more very unique and beautiful stories of Jesus healing ministry, the healing of two demoniacs and a paralytic. Within these two stories there are some amazing lessons that we can certainly take and apply to our daily lives.

"Cost of Following Jesus / Jesus Calms the Storm" Matthew 8:18-27

What does it really mean to follow Jesus and what does it cost us? In this lesson we take a dive into that question and look at some phrases that Jesus uses in Matthew 8 that tend to cause some confusion when we don't understand context. As well as also looking into how Jesus calms the storm and how these passages fit together so much more than what I had previously realized. "Jesus Healing Ministry Begins" Matthew 8:1-17

We have now begun chapter 8 of Matthew. To start this episode we go back and review what all we have covered since beginning our study of Matthew back in January. After a brief review we begin to take a look at the beginnings of Jesus "Healing ministry". We cover over Jesus; healing the man with leprosy, the faith of the centurion, and when the crowds begin coming to Jesus to be healed, and several valuable lessons that we need to learn from these stories. Scripture References: Matthew 8:1-17, Leviticus 13 & 14, Recorded Live at Orleans Christian Church, August 30,2026

"Wise and Foolish Builders" Matthew 7:24-29

We have finally made it through the "Sermon on the Mount"! In this lesson we wrap up chapter 7 with the "Wise and Foolish Builders." As Jesus wraps up this incredible message He gives very practical life advice that is very easy for "the common man" to understand and apply. Scripture References: Matthew 7:24-29, Romans 8:18 Recorded Live at Orleans Christian Church August 23,2026

"A Tree and its Fruit" Matthew 7:15-23

Well I thought we were going to finish "The Sermon on the Mount" in this lesson, Joke was on me! In this lesson we dive into Jesus teaching on "A Tree and its Fruit", warnings about false prophets and their teachings. A great deal of our emphasis in this lesson is knowing the Word of God, so that we know what false teaching is when we hear it. Scripture References: Matthew 7:15-23, 2 Timothy 3:14-4:5, Recorded Live at Orleans Christian Church, August 16,2026

"Ask, Seek and Knock, and the Narrow and Wide Gates

As we are nearing the end of the "Sermon on the Mount" we are seeing a bit of a transition that Jesus makes to wrap up these chapters. In this lesson we cover over Jesus teaching on "Ask, seek and knock", What Jesus is actually directing us to do, and how that really does affect which gate we enter, "The Narrow or the Wide Gate". Scripture References: Matthew 7:7-14, Romans 8:18, 26-28 Recorded Live at Orleans Christian Church August 9,2026

"Do Not Judge....." Matthew 7:1-6

We have made it to chapter 7! In this lesson we take a look at what Jesus says about judging others in the "Sermon on the Mount", and what He doesn't say about it. Scripture References: Matthew 7:1-6, 18:15-20, Titus 3:10, James 5:13-20 Recorded Live at Orleans Christian Church, August 2,2026

"Do Not Worry" Matthew 6:25-34

In this episode we take a look at the passage of the "Sermon on the Mount" where Jesus talks about worry. This is not an easy one to talk about. We talk about a lot of different aspects of worry, of what it can do to us physically, mentally, and spiritually. Most importantly how we are commanded in scripture to handle worry/anxiety in our lives. Disclaimer: While I share some things about stories of others who have left behind all anti anxiety medications, and some personal opinions, based on scripture, and the experiences of those that I know who struggle with these issues, I am in know way an expert, I am still learning myself and you need to be in prayer about how you personally need to surrender these things to God. What I can tell you is that it canNOT be done without God. Scripture References: Matthew 6:25-34, 1 Peter 5:5-9, Philippians 4:4-9 Recorded Live at Orleans Christian Church, July 26,2026
