Join me as I discuss everything from preconception to menopause with your pelvic health and fitness needs. It is my passion to make these topics easy to understand and practical to apply to even the busiest of seasons.
Today I want to discuss pelvic floor relaxation and it's importance in birth preparation.
Unfortunately, much of the pregnancy resources you encounter discuss kegels or nothing at all when it comes to pelvic floor preparation for birth.
This is a disappointing "one-size-fits-no one" approach to birth prep as our pelvic floor does not actually need to be "tighter" during birth - it needs to be able to elongate effectively.
How do I know if my pelvic floor can relax?
And how does this actually impact me even if I'm not currently preparing for birth?
Listen now to find out!
