Geek Down - Nightmare Alley, Bel Air, The Adam Project, The Cleaning Lady

Del Toro is dragging us through a grim carnival of misery in Nightmare Alley, and Bradley Cooper is losing his mind out there. Bel-Air is taking the Fresh Prince way too seriously, but the dramatic acting is actually carrying the weight. Ryan Reynolds is doing the exact same Ryan Reynolds routine with time travel in The Adam Project, and the nostalgia bait is working perfectly. The Cleaning Lady is giving gritty crime drama with a lead who is really risking it all for her family. We are breaking all of this down, hot and fresh. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you liked this episode and want to help us make more in the future, we'd be hella grateful for a small donation via this link https://www.buymeacoffee.com/villainswtf (no pressure of course - we'll be making the best content we can regardless) 🤘 Become a patron too for longer format episodes, bonus shows, and more! https://www.patreon.com/cw/VillainsWTF And all our sister shows @ https://www.villains.wtf

Geek Down - Disney's Mulan, Hulu's Woke, Hellpoint on Steam

Disney fumbled the bag completely on that live-action Mulan, charging a premium for a remake with zero swagger and no songs. Hulu’s Woke is out here mixing heavy social talk with literal cartoon gags, and it hits different depending on your background experience. Hellpoint is giving us janky sci-fi Dark Souls energy on Steam, and the struggle is real. We are breaking all of this down unfiltered with a drizzle of sauce.

Geek Down - Borat 2, Blood of Zeus, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, Mad Streets

Borat 2 is Sacha Baron Cohen wildin' again and America still hasn't learned a damn thing. Blood of Zeus is Greek mythology with the gore turned all the way up and Zeus looking real irresponsible. Mad Streets is just drunk dudes throwing hands in the street and it's dumb fun that actually works. Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory got grown adults tapping buttons to Disney classics like it's serious work. We getting into all four with gusto.

Geek Down - Murderville, The Lost City. Charlie's Angels, Everything Everywhere All At Once

The Lost City is giving cheesy adventure vibes that somehow still work. Murderville is making A-listers look completely lost without a script. That 2022 Charlie's Angels reboot is fumbling the action bag all over again. Everything Everywhere All At Once is the only multiverse madness actually worth the hype right now. SO MUCH is happening and we're getting into all of it.

Geek Down - Archer Danger Phone, Crossing Swords, The Babysitter Killer Queen

The Babysitter Killer Queen is serving pure, unhinged sequel trash that you can't help but watch anyway. Crossing Swords tries way too hard with that stop-motion raunch, and the crude jokes may or may not miss the mark. Archer Danger Phone is exactly the mindless mobile distraction we’re doomscrolling through right now instead of handling our business. We are breaking down all this chaos.

Geek Down - Morbius, The Bubble, The Afterparty, Legend of Vox Machina

Jared Leto is fumbling the vampire bag hard in Morbius, and the movie is exactly the disaster you expect. The Afterparty is actually cooking, giving us a clever murder mystery that keeps you engaged. The Bubble is pure, unhinged Apatow nonsense that barely holds together. Legend of Vox Machina is out here saving the animation game with all that R-rated dragon chaos. We are getting into all of it.

Geek Down - Peacemaker, Death on the Nile, Telepaths, Rocky Rampage

Kenneth Branagh’s mustache is back, this time on a boat for "Death on the Nile" and the messy murder drama is WILD. Next, John Cena running around in tighty-whities for "Peacemaker" is somehow peak television. That and the that opening credits sequence -- you'll want to hear this one. We also diving into the "Telepaths" comic because mind-reading always goes sideways, regardless of intentions. And "Rocky Rampage" proves exactly why smashing stuff (in game) should be your new therapy.

Geek Down - Project Power, Kill It With Fire, Floor is Lava, TMNT Jennika

Jamie Foxx out here poppin' pills to get superpowers in "Project Power" and we got thoughts. Then we get into "Floor is Lava" on Netflix because apparently grown adults jumpin' over foam is what we doin' now. We also gotta talk about "TMNT Jennika" real quick because the turtles got a new sister and the culture ain't ready for it. And listen, we spent way too many hours playin' "Kill It With Fire" huntin' spiders with a shotgun and a can of hairspray --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you liked this episode and want to help us make more in the future, we'd be hella grateful for a small donation via this link https://www.buymeacoffee.com/villainswtf (no pressure of course - we'll be making the best content we can regardless) 🤘 Become a patron too for longer format episodes, bonus shows, and more! https://www.patreon.com/cw/VillainsWTF And all our sister shows @ https://www.villains.wtf

Geek Down - Enola Holmes, Rogue Company, Utopia on Amazon Video

Enola Holmes has Millie Bobby Brown out here solving mysteries, shattering glass ceilings, breaking 4th walls, and jacking dudes for their clothes. And she knows kung-fu! Amazon's Utopia is a paranoid conspiracy that feels uncomfortable to watch right now, but we still gotta talk about it so gird your loins. Then there's Rogue Company - the shooter game with a need to prove it has more than a clean loadout and squad drama.

Geek Down - The Batman, Expedition Zero, The Cuphead Show, Rockstar & Softboy

We’re reviewing The Batman and unpacking what really works—Battinson in full brooding mode, great pressure, definitely somewhere on the spectrum, and a mystery that actually has teeth. The Cuphead Show is next, serving cartoon chaos with jokes that land faster than the villains can blink. Then we’re talking Rockstar & Softboy -- one wild friend dragging their overly emotional friend through a chaotic weekend. It's a character drama with attitude and that feels a little too real these days. Finally, Expedition Zero brings survival strategy with a colder edge, so we’re weighing whether it’s gripping gameplay or just another grind.
