Geek Down - The Princess, Spriggan, Spiderhead, Fictionauts

The Princess turns the damsel-in-distress trope into a contact sport. Spriggan brings new heat to the anime with ancient relics and high-stakes action. Fictionauts throws us into a comic where stories have teeth and the fourth wall doesn’t stand a chance. Spiderhead sees Chris Hemsworth trap some oblivious victims in a psychological experiment that’s as slick as it is sick. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you liked this episode and want to help us make more in the future, we'd be hella grateful for a small donation via this link https://www.buymeacoffee.com/villainswtf (no pressure of course - we'll be making the best content we can regardless) 🤘 Become a patron too for longer format episodes, bonus shows, and more! https://www.patreon.com/cw/VillainsWTF And all our sister shows @ https://www.villains.wtf

Geek Down - The Bad Guys, Wyrmwood Apocalypse, Proud Family Louder and Prouder

The Bad Guys brings that Ocean’s Eleven energy to the animal kingdom—smooth-talking crooks, slick animation, but does it bite? Or just bite? The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is back with more heart, more laughs, and more cartoon sass—does this revival keep the heat or just reheat old jokes? And Wyrmwood Apocalypse drops us into a zombie wasteland where the action’s as wild as the goofy ass haircuts—does it bring the gore or just the snore? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you liked this episode and want to help us make more in the future, we'd be hella grateful for a small donation via this link https://www.buymeacoffee.com/villainswtf (no pressure of course - we'll be making the best content we can regardless) 🤘 Become a patron too for longer format episodes, bonus shows, and more! https://www.patreon.com/cw/VillainsWTF And all our sister shows @ https://www.villains.wtf

Geek Down - Space Sweepers, Bliss, DIEnamite, Dan the Man Platformer

Space Sweepers brings Korea’s A-game to orbit with a crew of misfits and a whole lot of attitude—we’re breaking down if it’s a launch or a crash landing. DIEnamite: Our Bloody Valentine bleeds onto the page with raw, gory romance—we’re counting the bodies and the kisses with a garnish of revenge—a volatile cocktail! Dan the Man brings that retro beat-’em-up flavor straight from the pixel streets—did someone say Arcade perfection? (I mean, WE didn't, but someone may have.) And Bliss twists reality more than Christopher Nolan on shrooms in a pretzel factory. We’re sorting the magic from the madness.

Geek Down - South Park The Streaming Wars, RRR, Minx

this week we got the goods—no filler, all killer. RRR brings the heat with revolutionary action so wild it’ll make your eyes bleed (in a good way). We’re breaking down if this epic earns its runtime or just burns bright and fades fast. Minx serves up ‘70s feminism with a side of smut and sharp wit—we’re calling it like it is: bold move or just another period piece? Then South Park: The Streaming Wars torches the industry with their usual brand of chaos and we’re dissecting the satire.

Geek Down - Shadow in the Cloud, Gumslinger, Man Who F'ed Up Time

We’re taking you from the skies to the Wild West to a time-traveling disaster—no passport required. Shadow in the Cloud drops Chloë Grace Moretz in a WWII dogfight with gremlins, guts, and gravity—we’re dissecting every second of this high-altitude horror show. Then Gumslinger brings that mobile game heat, where chewing gum meets cowboy chaos in a sticky showdown. We'll see if it’s a rootin’-tootin’ good time or just too flaccid on the quick draw. And The Man Who F’ed Up Time from Aftershock Comics tears through the timeline with a foul-mouthed, chaotic twist on consequence.

Geek Down - Senior Year, The Pentavarate, Dual

We’re serving up nostalgia, absurdity, and existential dread—because why not? Senior Year throws Rebel Wilson back into the high school halls following a 20-year coma, and we’re breaking down whether this comedy makes the grade or just faceplants. The Pentaverate drops Mike Myers into a wild, conspiracy-laden debacle, and we’re digging into whether this secret society satire is worth the kool-aid it's pushing on you. And Dual takes the clone thriller to a whole new level of psychological weirdness playing F-M-K:Yourself! We’re grading this existential showdown and kinda just scratching our heads. Three wild rides, one no-holds-barred conversation.

Geek Down - Shadow and Bone, The Vain, Wrath of Man

We’re diving into worlds where magic clashes with grit, and every page and frame packs a punch. Shadow and Bone brings Leigh Bardugo’s fantasy epic to life with a fresh cast and high-stakes sorcery—we’re breaking down whether this adaptation casts the right incantation or is just fumbling over words that rhyme (#Edan). Then we puncture The Vain from Aftershock Comics, a dark, twisted tale where beauty and brutality collide, and EVERYONE's getting sucked. We’re dissecting every sharp edge of its haunting narrative. And Wrath of Man delivers Jason Statham in a revenge thriller that’s as cold as it is grey. We’re grading whether "gritty humorless heist-gone-wrong" was the right direction for famously tongue-in-cheek film-maker Guy Ritchie. Three heavy hitters, one unfiltered conversation.

Geek Down - Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Gray Man, Resident Evil, 1up

The Gray Man turns the spy game into a globe-trotting cat-and-mouse chase where every shadow hides a bullet, and every knife is aimed at someone's back. Obi-Wan Kenobi pulls the Jedi master out of hiding for a reckoning with old ghosts and a thousand regrets. Resident Evil on Netflix trades Raccoon City for a suspect suburb that's rotten with Umbrella's secrets. Then 1up is a female-led esports drama that’s as much about the grind as it is about the glory.

Geek Down - Resident Evil Village, Forever Purge, Fear Street Part Two, Resident Evil Infinite Darkness

The Forever Purge brings the bloody mayhem to the borderlands. Does this franchise still have teeth, or is it just gumming the scenery? We'll get into it. Then, speaking of things that just won't die, we dive into Resident Evil: Village—the game that’s got towering vampiric muscle mommies, sapphic siren energy, and enough Gothic horror to think CAPCOM stole my dream journal. Fear Street Part Two cranks the tension to eleven with summer camp vibes and fireside murder. We'll see if it does its predecessor justice. And Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness brings the undead to animation and it’s equal parts political thriller and zombie apocalypse.

Geek Down - Man From Toronto, Money Heist Korea, Beavis & Butthead Do the Universe

Kevin Hart is running around Toronto playing a mistaken assassin, Woody Harrelson is chewing scenery, and somehow The Man From Toronto still lands as a solid Friday-night laugh. Then we pivot to Money Heist: Korea, where the red jumpsuits and Dali masks hit different with a full political backdrop behind the vault grab. After that, Beavis and Butt-Head go FULL idiot in Do the Universe, proving thirty years later they still can’t operate a microwave, let alone a spaceship. Three wildly different energies, one straight conversation --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you liked this episode and want to help us make more in the future, we'd be hella grateful for a small donation via this link https://www.buymeacoffee.com/villainswtf (no pressure of course - we'll be making the best content we can regardless) 🤘 Become a patron too for longer format episodes, bonus shows, and more! https://www.patreon.com/cw/VillainsWTF And all our sister shows @ https://www.villains.wtf
