President Trump Announces Trump Accounts for Every Child

President Donald J. Trump's full remarks at a Trump Accounts announcement at the White House, where he announced that every eligible minor child in America has now been automatically enrolled in a Trump account, a tax-free investment account the government creates for each child to grow over the course of their lives. He said nearly 8 million accounts were created in the three months since the program launched in July, and that the expansion covers about 70 million children.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano, Senator Ted Cruz, Michael and Susan Dell, and Brad Gerstner also spoke. They described the official Trump account app and the Dells' $6.25 billion pledge of $250 each for 25 million children's accounts, and urged parents to claim their children's accounts.
The President then took questions from reporters on topics including the Justice Department under the previous administration, an approaching hurricane, the Nobel Peace Prize, interest rates, and trade with Canada.
