When life feels uncertain, needs pile up, and the road ahead seems longer than we expected, it can be easy to start grumbling: Where is God in all of this? Is the LORD really with us or not?

This week, we look at Israel in the wilderness and Jesus’ parable of the workers in the vineyard—two stories that challenge our ideas of fairness, provision, and what it means to trust in God’s generosity.

God does not always respond according to our wants, but God remains present and provides what is needed for the day. Sometimes that generosity can even feel unfair, especially when grace is extended to someone else in ways we do not expect.
