Who is God—and what does it mean when the One who calls us refuses to fit neatly into our definitions?

In Exodus 3, Moses encounters God in the burning bush and hears one of Scripture’s most mysterious names: “I AM who I AM”—or even, “I WILL BE who I WILL BE.”
