Episode notes
Welcome to the Mount Zion Church Podcast! Join us for our weekly Sunday Psalms reading and preaching recorded live in Ahmedabad.
In this episode, we explore Psalm 74, a powerful communal lament or 'Maskil' of Asaph. Written in the aftermath of a national disaster, likely the destruction of the Temple, this psalm is a raw and honest plea for God to intervene on behalf of His people. It challenges us to look beyond immediate suffering to God’s ancient acts of power, pleading with Him to 'rise up' and defend His cause.
📖 Key Scripture: Psalm 74
"Have regard for the covenant, for the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence. Let not the downtrodden turn back in shame; let the poor and needy praise your name." — Psalm 74:20–21
