Wrapping up Romans in this episode. Such a good book!! Talking about things like being grafted into the tree and how we should live a peace with everyone as far as we are able to.
The Old Man is very excited to go through chapters 5-10 of Romans. He may need to stay off the caffeine. Some controversial topics are covered in the realm of election and predestination and what capacity we may have in choosing God, if any.
Wrapping up Acts and diving into Romans. We adventure along with Paul as he is being taken to Rome and run into shipwrecks and a poisonous snake. He survives all that to preach the Gospel to those in Rome. Then he writes letters to the Romans and we run into some touchy subjects and learn that while we are fallen, God still loves us and is waiting for us with arms wide open when we repent of our sins.
We continue our journey through Acts and tangent into Felix the Cat and Time Travel.
We continue our journey through Acts with chapters 9-16. We see Christians imprisoned, many visions occur, resurrections, and a most amazing transformation in the heart of a man called Saul. Come join us as we try and learn more about God and what he's done, what he's doing, and what it means for us. Let's sharpen our blades.
The Old Man, Jade Fire, and Ruby have wrapped up Luke and are now venturing into the author's second book: Acts! We talk about chapters 1-8 this week where we have the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the martyr Stephen, an introduction to Saul, and a foolishly deceitful couple.
In this episode we wrap up our journey through the Gospel according to Luke (Chapters 17-24). We also attempt to understand what it takes to be saved and if we can fall too far for him to save.
The Old Man, Jade Fire, and Ruby hit the next eight chapters (9-16) of the Gospel of Luke. The insights and questions of a father and his two children as they continue to try and sharpen their knowledge and understanding of God's Word.
