Tampa Bay Rays Players Talk Puppies, Spirit Animals, Ballpark Food, & Spring Training

Tune in to SPCA Tampa Bay’s latest Animal Tails podcast as we begin our broadcast on location at Tropicana Field for Rays Fan Fest! Devin Quinn, Veterinary Technician at SPCA Tampa Bay, chats with players Richie Palacios, Jefferey Springs, Jacob Lopez, Shawn Armstrong, and Zack Littell of the Tampa Bay Rays. Devin and the Rays baseball players chat about topics such as; what their spirit animal is, what ballpark has the best food, and what’s in store for the Rays in 2024! All while spending time with some adoptable puppies from SPCA Tampa Bay. Additionally, SPCA Tampa Bay has some exciting events and promotions coming up, including our Leap Day Adoption Promotion on February 29, Rabbit Matchmaking event on March 12, and the 33rd Annual Pet Walk on April 6. SPCA Tampa Bay is waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats four years old and up during its Leap Day adoption event on Thursday, February 29. There are currently over 30 dogs and over 20 cats, all over the age of four, awaiting their forever homes. Adoption events such as this one are so important as dogs and cats over the age of four often stay at the shelter for much longer than their younger furry friends Secondly, if you are looking to adopt a companion for your pet rabbit, mark your calendars for SPCA Tampa Bay's first-ever “bunny speed dating” event on Tuesday, March 12 from 3-6pm. You and your rabbit will have the opportunity to participate in a series of meet and greets to find your bun a suitable match. There is a $10 registration fee to attend, which will be applied toward the rabbit's adoption fee. Register today at spcatampabay.org Lastly, SPCA Tampa Bay's 33rd Annual Pet Walk is coming up on Saturday, April 6. The walk is happening at two locations this year, North Straub Park in St. Petersburg and a new second location in Largo at Largo Central Park. All participants who raise $50 or more will receive an official 2024 Pet Walk t-shirt and goodie bag!
