But it is one that is unique to our culture and we all have memories of it, good and bad. We hear from the unsung heroes of that American ritual of the first day of school – the people who have worked all summer to get ready for that special first-day-of-school ritual the custodians and cleaners of our Buildings and Grounds staff.
