Episode notes
Jesus meets a widow’s funeral procession at the gates of Nain and confronts death with His compassion and power. This homily considers Christ as the Lord of Life, whose power over death reveals His divinity and foretells His own resurrection.
The raising of the widow’s son is more than a private miracle: it is a foretaste of the resurrection promised to all who believe in Christ. Rooted and grounded in divine love, the Lord continues to call helpless sinners from death to life.
