Season 2

2026.10.04 - Catechesis 4 - Mankind

n this episode, we ask the foundational question: What is a man? Contrasting pantheistic and materialistic answers with the Christian vision, we explore mankind as God’s special creation, made from the earth, yet bearing His image and likeness. Scripture presents human beings as embodied souls, created male and female, entrusted with dominion, and endowed with reason, will, and spirit. We also consider the goodness of the body, original righteousness, the moral meaning of freedom, and humanity’s calling to know, love, and offer our lives to God.

2026.09.27 - Catechesis 3 - Rule of Faith

This lesson discusses the Rule of Faith and tradition in the Church. It examines divine revelation in Holy Scripture, the authority of the Ecumenical Councils, the catholic consent of the Church, and the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds as faithful summaries of the apostolic faith.

2026.09.20 - Catechesis 2 - Holy Scripture

A class on Holy Scripture as the inspired Word of God written: its divine and human authorship, authority, interpretation, and place within the Apostolic Faith. This episode explores how the Church received the biblical canon, reads the Old and New Testaments as one unified witness to Jesus Christ, and distinguishes the protocanonical and deuterocanonical books.
Season 1

2026.09.27 - Come Up Higher

Christ’s promise that the humble will be exalted is not merely advice in manners, but a law woven into reality by God Himself. This homily considers pride as an attempt to seize what rightfully belongs to God, while humility receives the good things God wishes to give.

2026.09.20 - The Raising of the Widow's Son

Jesus meets a widow’s funeral procession at the gates of Nain and confronts death with His compassion and power. This homily considers Christ as the Lord of Life, whose power over death reveals His divinity and foretells His own resurrection. The raising of the widow’s son is more than a private miracle: it is a foretaste of the resurrection promised to all who believe in Christ. Rooted and grounded in divine love, the Lord continues to call helpless sinners from death to life.

2026.07.12 - Whose Death? Whose Righteousness?

Explores Christ’s command that our righteousness exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, exposing the insufficiency of mere external law-keeping and proclaiming Baptism into Christ’s death as the way we receive His righteousness, new life, and freedom from sin to live as heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven.

2026.06.28 - Be Ye Therefore Merciful: Walking in the Likeness of Jesus Christ

This homily drawn from St. Luke 6:36-42 reflects on the Lord’s Prayer, especially the petition that we be forgiven as we forgive, reminding us that the measure we give to others will be given to us. Christians are called not to hypocrisy or passivity, but to real repentance, extending mercy, and growing in holiness through God’s grace. Formed by Word and Sacrament, we are being made into a repentant people who bear the likeness of Christ in charity and truth.
