Stand and Deliver: A JoJo Podcast

Season 5

Week 70 [Season 5, Episodes 13-16]

We're back in the groove! We remembered how to make podcasts! No more Low-Energy Bull Shit, we're here to ROCK and ROLL and GET STUCK IN SHIT-PIPES and SHOOT ALLIGATORS! Limp Bizkit is here and he's being a real freak as we engage in more Bone Identification and talk at length about the Martin McDonagh film The Banshees of Inisherin. George also gives a trip report on M-Three-Gan. If only Roger Ebert was alive to see it... He would love M3GAN. Oh, and the Golden Gizmos/Gremmies are up, here: https://anchor.fm/destroy/episodes/The-2022-Golden-Gizmos-and-Gremmies-e1tmkt9 [Music used: Intro -- "Rollin (Air Raid Vehicle)" by Limp Bizkit | Outro -- Fred n Bulk n Skull theme by Mix Bizkit]

Week 71 [Season 5, Episodes 17-20]

Somehow, Shigechi has returned... But anyway, this week, we witness the birth of a new... Character? Stand? Saibaman? Not entirely sure so far, but there's definitely a bunch of grotesque body horror included. Remember that part in The Thing where they're using a defibrillator on the guy? Hahaha yeah it was pretty cool. Why am I asking? No reason. Nothing to be concerned about. [Music used: Intro -- "Leave It" by Yes | Outro -- "Number One Spot" by Ludacris]

Week 72 [Season 5, Episodes 21-24]

We're back with the most nonsensical stand yet! Don't you hate when you get the Memento Disease and it makes your eyes not work? Well, that happens to Jolyne, after narrowly escaping an encounter with Pucci. Some other members of the crew aren't so lucky... By the way, the knives-fighting thing I mention, that George tried to gaslight me into thinking I had imagined, was a fight from Yu Yu Hakusho. A series that he has also seen. The other thing was just me thinking about strap matches in wrestling, I guess, and combining them. But I didn't make it up! I'm not crazy! I'M NOT CRAZY!!! [Music used: Intro -- "Still of the Night" by Whitesnake | Outro -- "- B A C K - T O - W I N N I P E G -" by Dankmus ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kO4UnHItjzw )

Week 73 [Season 5, Episodes 25-28]

This week, Araki read an article about Rods and decided he wanted to draw Astro Boy. All normal occurrences for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, because, heh heh, I tell you whut, this Adventure sure is Bizarre! The important thing is, we spend most of this episode doing bad impressions. Some bad on purpose, some not. Which is which? We'll let YOU be the judge!! Sound off in the comments! Like and subscribe! Ring that bell for notifications! Kill me and put all of my body parts in separate trash bags so it's impossible to trace! [Music used: Intro -- "Sky High" by Jigsaw | Outro -- "Bohemian Polka" by Weird Al Yankovic]

Week 74 [Season 5, Episodes 29-32]

This week, after George is done airing his grievances against his local GameStop, we continue the battle against Underworld, debate the merits of excessive profanity, and say goodbye to a member of the Stone Ocean crew... [Music used: Intro -- "Born Slippy" by Underworld | Outro -- "Just Another Day (Boingo Alive version)" by Oingo Boingo. Because there's life underground.]

Week 75 [Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan: "At a Confessional" and "The Run"]

Detour One (of two) sees us checking out the Rohan episodes that came out while we were both in our Michael Jackson-style hibernation tubes. Because there are only two episodes, we end up filling time with more terrible impressions, because that's what the people love! I assume. I don't have comments turned on here, because I don't need LITERALLY TENS of people telling me I sound like a freak nerd. I already know that! Believe me! We want this to remain an echo chamber, just like when we're in our Tubes. Anyway, sound off in the comments if you think we should do the YuYu Haku-Show, [Music used: Intro -- "Running on a Treadmill" by Oingo Boingo | Outro -- "Here It Goes Again" by OK Go]

Week 76 [Diamond is Unbreakable: Chapter 1]

This week, we watched the live-action adaptation of the first few episodes of Part 4! It's not good, and there's no reason for you to watch it! So in addition, we talk about games we've been playing recently. In my case, Atomic Heart (eh), and in George's case, JoJo All-Star Battle R (blech). Somewhere in-between, I get confused about the races of fictional characters. You know... Standard stuff. Back to Stone Ocean next week! [Music used: Intro -- "Diamond Bollocks" by Beck | Outro -- "She's White" by Electric Six]

Week 77 [Season 5, Episodes 33-35]

We're here! The Final Countdown! Pucci is here too, and he has a new stand named after an absolutely awful Paul McCartney song. Will Jolyne and the crew be able to stop him before he reaches Heaven? Uhhh, I don't know, I think that'll be next week. Link to watch Roulette Stars of Metro Detroit, the Electric Six movie referenced: https://electricsix.vhx.tv/videos/roulettefulldigital [Music used: Intro -- "Dancing on the Ceiling" by Lionel Richie | Outro -- "C Moon" by Paul McCartney]

Week 78 [Season 5, Episodes 36-38 - End of Part 6: Stone Ocean]

It's the final showdown! And then it's the final showdown again! And then it's, uh, the end? Pucci really made a mess of things here. Along the way, we lament the mistreatment of Foo Fighters and I have to instruct George about proper footwear etiquette in Japan. We also do a final ranking of the Parts and discuss our favorite/least favorite characters of Stone Ocean. But, hey, this is it. A sincere thanks to anyone who's been listening, whether you were here from the beginning or joined for Stone Ocean. I hope we'll be able to come back for Steel Ball Run, whenever that will be, but for now, this is goodbye. ==To Be Continued==> [Music used: Intro -- "Made in Heaven" by Queen | Outro -- The White Stripes' cover of "Jolene" by Dolly Parton]
