Origins: Pursuing the Cultists to the Their End Part 1

The shadows deepen and the existential threat of the Chain-Bound god looms larger than ever in this harrowing episode of our actual-play saga. As the party remains fractured, hunting the insidious cultists of Tharizdun across multiple fronts, the stakes reach a breaking point. The cultists, wielding shards of the maddening Hunger, are methodically moving to poison the water supplies of the surface world, threatening to plunge civilization into chaos and despair. In this installment, Jazmine, Raian, Taya, and Milly attempt a high-stakes ambush against a column of these zealots, but their plans crumble into a desperate fight for survival. The enemy force, comprised of formidable wizards, ruthless clerics, and mysterious man-shaped constructs, proves to be a punishing obstacle that pushes our heroes to their physical and emotional limits. Blood is spilled, and the cost of victory becomes agonizingly clear when tragedy strikes the party, claiming the life of Aria, Jazmine’s loyal familiar. Amidst the chaos of splintered combat, Raian uncovers a latent, terrifying power hidden within his blade, a discovery that may prove vital in the conflicts to come. As the dust settles and the majority of the cultists lie broken, a singular, terrifying complication emerges: one of the shards is whisked away toward the surface by a summoned aerial servant. With the group divided and their morale rattled, Milly initiates a reckless, solo pursuit of the creature. Her mission appears doomed to fail as she races toward a dangerous cult cell hidden within the dwarven market. Will this desperate chase lead to a victory, or has the party already lost their grip on the forces of the void? Listeners are thrust into the center of a fray where every decision is life-or-death, and the influence of the Hunger feels closer than ever before. With resources drained and spirits broken, the party must decide if they are willing to pay the ultimate price to prevent an ancient, destructive power from consuming everything they hold dear. Experience the tension, the grief, and the sudden, violent shifts in momentum that define this pivotal chapter in our ongoing campaign. Outsiders: Training Before Leaving Astrelli

The air in the high-walled city of Astrelli grows thick with the tension of departure as Klume, Chairon, Lucas, and Asterd undertake their final, grueling preparations. Before they venture into the unknown, each hero must confront the limitations of their own craft under the watchful eyes of the city's most formidable masters. Time is a luxury they no longer possess, and every waking moment is dedicated to sharpening their edges for the trials that lie ahead. Klume finds solace and intensity amidst the untamed wilderness surrounding the city, communing with the raw forces of nature to ground their chaotic spirit. Meanwhile, Asterd locks eyes with a target, straining sinew and soul as they refine the art of the longbow, learning that a single breath can decide the fate of a skirmish. The weight of iron defines Chairon’s path, as they endure relentless drills to master a lethal new maneuver with the longsword, a technique that promises to turn the tide when the blades inevitably clash. Perhaps most punishing of all is the ordeal of Lucas; trapped in the saddle for eleven hours a day, they are pushed beyond exhaustion, forced to meld with their mount until rider and beast are a singular, unstoppable force. As the sun sets on their final training cycle, the group stands transformed. Their muscles ache and their resolve is forged in the fires of discipline, yet a lingering sense of foreboding hangs over the group. The mentors of Astrelli have done their work, extracting every ounce of potential from their charges, but the question remains: is any amount of training truly enough for the horrors waiting beyond the gates? The city of Astrelli has been their sanctuary and their crucible, a place where legends are manufactured through sweat and steel. Now, the gates stand open, and the silence of the horizon beckons. As the companions gather their gear, they realize that while they entered as travelers, they leave as a hardened unit, bound by the shared trauma of their transformation. The countdown to their departure has begun, and the road ahead offers no guarantees—only the test of everything they have learned. Join us for an episode defined by growth, sacrifice, and the quiet, heavy anticipation of the storm to come.

Low Moon Outsiders: Archery Tournament Results

The tension in the air at the Astrelli Archery tournament is thick enough to cut with a blade as the competition reaches its exhilarating conclusion. As the final arrows fly and the dust settles upon the range, two figures rise above the rest of the field: Klume and Asterd. Through precision, steady nerves, and a stroke of raw talent, the pair secures the top two positions, cementing their names in the local annals of the sport. The atmosphere shifts from competitive fervor to celebratory reverence as Chairon steps forward to deliver a speech that resonates across the grandstands, capturing the hearts of the gathered crowds and solidifying the weight of the party’s growing influence in this land. Yet, beneath the veneer of triumph and the jubilant cheers of the populace, a cold and inexplicable dread begins to take hold. Just as the adrenaline of victory begins to fade, a strange, unnatural shadow passes over the grounds. It is a silhouette formed of nothingness, an impossible void that seems to follow the movements of the sun while defying the laws of light. Klume, always the most perceptive in the face of the unknown, feels a profound, chilling shiver race down his spine. It is not merely the absence of light; it is the suffocating, ancient weight of a dragon’s presence, pressing against his senses like a physical force. What began as a day of sport and accolades rapidly spirals into a moment of existential uncertainty. With the tournament behind them and the public eye fixed firmly upon them, the party retreats to the sanctuary of the local inn to regroup. However, they soon discover that their recent notoriety has attracted the attention of someone—or something—they never anticipated. An unexpected visitor awaits them within the dimly lit common room, promising that the trials they faced on the archery field were merely the prelude to a much more dangerous game. As the shadows grow longer and the air turns frigid, the heroes must prepare for a confrontation that will test the limits of their courage and force them to reckon with the draconic mystery that now stalks their every step. The path ahead is fraught with secrets, and the game has only just begun. #RPCGT Sign up below for email updates and get a free devotional and a free short story. https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sl/AAo5VU6/community
