Episode notes

Sheldon Solomon is a social psychologist at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. Along with his colleagues Jeff Greenberg and Tom Pyszczynski, he wrote 'The Worm at the Core: On the Role of Death in Life', a book which examines how humans deal with their own sense of mortality. Inspired by the work of the cultural anthropologist, Ernest Becker, Sheldon has been working for many years to understand how the uniquely human awareness of mortality motivates every individual and societal action.
