RAW Real Authentic Woman

UNSCRIPTED: Making mistakes, owning your authenticity, and trusting your creativity.

In this unscripted episode, I unpack the fear of making a mistake in today's society because we feel the pressure to be someone for all of these different people in our lives. We have to wear all these masks to fit into the spaces we are in and it can be extremely hard to claim one identity. I reiterate the beauty that lies in our authenticity and the importance of creating. A little unhinged, definitely unscripted but a conversation that's sure to leave you feeling entertained.

To see yourself, you have to be willing to discover yourself.

Today I’m sitting down to talk through what self-discovery in your 20s actually looks like, from what I’ve learned so far to what I’m still figuring out. Your 20s can feel messy and uncertain, but they’re also full of real growth and healing if you’re open to it. For me, self-discovery has meant learning how to sit with my pain, letting go of the fear around it, and slowly finding the strength to release the people, places, and things that have hurt me, which, believe me, isn't easy at all. It’s also been about trying new things and reconnecting with parts of myself that I've forgotten about. The most important thing I've learned is that there’s no greater gift than the present moment. Everything we experience and everything we become is happening right now so don't let it pass you by.

Let's talk about sex.

Let's talk about sex. An uncomfortable topic to the outside eye, but a very normal human experience. In this episode, I emphasize the need for transparency and safe spaces to talk about sex in a way that doesn't feel awkward. Men and women often approach intimacy in different ways, and it’s important to recognize those differences while also acknowledging the similarities they share. In this episode, we explore it all while keeping it cute of course. It's time to start getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.

RAP: A conversation with Payton on growth, masks, and truth

In this episode, I sit down with my friend Payton to talk about where we came from, how our experiences shaped us, and who we’re still becoming. With a friendship of nearly ten years we get real about the masks we’ve worn, what it means to truly show up as ourselves, and the importance of holding space for others while also standing firm in our worth.

Being in your mid-20s still sucks.

When does it get better? Life moves fast. Sometimes, you get stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it. Society pressures you to have it all figured out by a certain age and honestly, that's just bullsh*t. Today, we are unpacking some of these pressures and looking into how perspective can be the difference in how you look back on your life.

A society rooted in misogyny.

We grow up in a world where women are taught to hate themselves and each other. I'm here to talk about it. I cover everything from the absence of women’s history to the overwhelming presence of harmful rhetoric and visual representations of women. In light of Women's History Month, I'm also here to uplift our voices and recognize the women who came before us so that those who walk after us see and appreciate the impact.

The relationship you have with your parents as an adult.

Get ready to get deep lol. In today's episode, we confront the relationship we have with our parents as adults. I use my own lived experience to talk through how my relationship has changed with my parents over time and how unexpected challenges in my life have actually brought me closer to them. Building a solid relationship with your parents as an adult not only comforts you from the pressures of adulthood, but it also strengthens your perception of what that parent-to-child relationship should look like.

Adjusting to change in friendship dynamics

When changes happen in our friends' lives, we also have to adjust to those changes, so let's talk about it. Shit is hard, and learning how to move through those adjustments in a healthy way is so important. In today's episode, I talk about the ups and downs and how I've learned to navigate the changes in friendship dynamics. The truth is, the older we get, the more we have to learn how to let go and trust that change is always for ours and their highest good.

Part 2: Humans are actually really cool.

As humans we have a lot of hateable traits, but today I want to discuss my fascination with the human race. Our ability to adapt, create and show empathy for one another still exists and I want to shed light on some of those things. The world could use some reminding, as we have found ourselves in a very heated political climate, and I'd like to bring a little bit of positivity back into this world and remind people what it means to be human.

Part 1: The harsh realities of living in a reliant society.

Welcome to this two-part series where I uncover my very deep and specific thoughts on the human race. In this episode, I confront our reliance on the systems and infrastructure that we've all grown accustomed to, and the danger that poses to our planet. I also confront our rapid adaptation and how keeping up with the times has made us all a little disconnected.
