Adulthood through the eyes of a former athlete.

Being an athlete for as long as I have has given me perspective on the world as I view it today. There is so much to learn from sport that can be translated into real life, and today I really wanted to unpack my experience as an athlete and what it has given me as I've entered the adult world. In the words of Kara Lawson, I've been able to handle hard better because my experience as an athlete pushed me into the person I have become today. To see yourself, you have to be willing to discover yourself.

Today I’m sitting down to talk through what self-discovery in your 20s actually looks like, from what I’ve learned so far to what I’m still figuring out. Your 20s can feel messy and uncertain, but they’re also full of real growth and healing if you’re open to it. For me, self-discovery has meant learning how to sit with my pain, letting go of the fear around it, and slowly finding the strength to release the people, places, and things that have hurt me, which, believe me, isn't easy at all. It’s also been about trying new things and reconnecting with parts of myself that I've forgotten about. The most important thing I've learned is that there’s no greater gift than the present moment. Everything we experience and everything we become is happening right now so don't let it pass you by.

Let's talk about sex.

In this episode, I emphasize the need for transparency and safe spaces to talk about sex in a way that doesn't feel awkward. Men and women often approach intimacy in different ways, and it’s important to recognize those differences while also acknowledging the similarities they share. In this episode, we explore it all while keeping it cute of course. It's time to start getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.
