Episode notes
When Words Fail You
are moments when words fail us.
A difficult conversation. A question about your faith. A situation where you want to respond well, but you do not know how to express what is in your heart.
Jesus understands that fear.
In Matthew 10:20, He says:
“For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” (Matthew 10:20 - NIV)
This does not mean we never need to think, learn, or prepare. It means that in decisive moments, we are not alone with our limits.
God can give us the right words at the right time.
Moses was also afraid to speak. He felt incapable. Yet God told him:
“Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” (Exodus 4:12 - NIV)
I love that promise. God is not first looking for perfect eloquence. He is looking for a heart that is available.
Today, if you are afraid of not knowing what to say, begin by placing your mouth in God’s hands.
He can speak through your simplicity.
Prayer
Lord, You know my limits and my fears. When words fail me, teach me to trust You. Make my heart available to Your Spirit.
