Well, she ain’t in the kitchen but she’s cooking up something tonight. She’s got a new recipe and it promises sheer delight. A man can get impatient but you gotta hold on tight, because she ain’t in the kitchen but she’s cooking up something tonight. Every young boy loves his mom's cooking and remembers anxiously awaiting the dinner call. We all remember asking what's for dinner and often heard "none of your business". I finally figured out why the recipe was never divulged.
Jesus saved my soul today. He lifted me from a watery grave. I used to be the devil’s child, but now I live for the Lord. Some people are very outspoken and it seems to often be those whom I would rather not hear from or about. I, on the other hand, have always been an introvert and have never been very outspoken. I usually prefer to let my actions speak for me, but thankfully, I have been blessed with the gift of song, whereby, I am able to Tell You What He's Done.
You know it takes a lot of nerve to be greedy on this earth. And from time to time I feel short changed when I really have more than I deserve. Often in my life, I have felt that things were going badly and the pressure was overwhelming. My wife has taught me that we must ask ourselves what is God trying to tell us. When things seem impossible, we can only place our trust in The Man Who Walked On Water to get us through the difficult times. Then we are truly thankful for what we have.......each other.
Jesus came to earth my soul to save, willing to accept his cross to bear. When he won a victory o’er the grave, Calvary became my lot to share. People may let us down and disappoint us from time to time but there is one on whom we can always depend. From the time my wife and I shared our vows, our Faith has grown.... in each other and in our Lord.
Each day I watch the clock until my job gets done. And when the whistle blows, I take off on the run. After watching time run off the wall, nighttime is my favorite time at all. When you grow up in Texas, music is in the blood and dancing is in your toes. Not being a good dancer does not preclude me from feeling the rhythm nor writing songs that reflect a dancing heart. This is my proof, my evidence and my witness.
I’m here in Monterrey and I wouldn’t have It any other way. My connection is a few more hours away. I wouldn’t pay the man what he wanted for a direct Cabo flight. Hey Dad, I’m stuck in Monterrey tonight. We all have to live with the decisions we make. In fact, our decisions define us. My dad always took the "short cut" and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!
Seems like I’ve been there before. God knows I’d like to be there too. Sometimes it seems so real, I don’t know what to do. I’ve got a bad case of Déjà Vu. We've all experienced the feeling of thinking you have been somewhere before. It can be unsettling, exciting, weird or out of body. And when it comes to love, it can be hopeful or hopeless. But isn't it wonderful !
Why must it be this way, I heard him say to her. Before he walked away. And what will I ever do, How will I begin to make it without you. I guess we have all gazed into the casket of a loved one before but what is it like to lose the one special person that makes your life complete. Time on this earth will fly, but all of us must die. .......We will meet again....By and by.
April reminds her, each time it rolls around. Even the springtime of life can be unkind. And though it’s behind her, it always can be found. Growing wild in her mind, yes, April still grows wild in her mind. Everyone has to deal with situations in their life. Some people seem to to have an easier time while others are faced with difficult decisions at critical times. Memories will forever grow wild in our minds.
Who are they, the ones who make the life you live worth living. Who are they, the ones who make the love within worth giving. Who are they that you can trust until the bitter end. Who are they… for whom you pray…good friends. No matter where you are, how far apart or how long it's been since you've seen each other, there are a small, select number of people that you trust with the intimate details of your heart..........good friends!
